He smirks and looks away as she teases him. "Nuh uhhhh!" He lied. "It's a girl named Rowan!" The truth had she asked a week ago.

/Fade to fraternal banter?

"Pft." Illia elbows him. "I know the aaaaanswer," She teases him back. "Your laaaadyfriend!" It's making her skip though -- she'd really truly hoped it would be the most romantic option. Akh's one lucky lady, and Cyprian's one lucky guy!

He didn't even need to think about it. But he did anyways. While doing so he mused at how different the answer might have been a week ago. Before his life was uprooted, before coming to Sigil against his will. Before meeting someone who dumped the contents of his life on the floor at his feet. Every shame, every regret, every humiliation, right there in plane view. Picked it over with him, showed him her own. Still somehow tolerates him.

"Well that would be telling." He teased.

The spellsinger won't dignify whether she likes it or not with a response (well, there [i]is[/i] a little giggle).

In the quiet lull of Cyprian's musing, Illia can't help but briefly imagine her own mother. Tall, imposing, noble, her silver hair trailing like a train behind her against the will of gravity, those large white wings that glow with moonlight... her skin black and starry as midnight... they don't look much alike at all. She frowns.

"Mm..." His arm gets squeezed. "I hope so. And what of you? Who's the most beautiful person you've ever seen?"

"What if I do?" He laughs, "You KNOW you love talking dirty."

Then it was his turn to give her a look. "Oh? So beauty runs in your family then?" That made him wonder what his mother would have looked like, his father. But that thought very quickly led back to the grim reality of his conception so he put it out of his mind. "I'll admit, I was expecting another. But I guess that also makes sense."

He chuckled. "Maybe one day, when you meet your love. Maybe you'll answer that question differently then."

Illiam'iira gives Cyprian another Look. "You just like hearing girls talk dirty." With a giggle Illi leans into him as they walk, humming in affirmation before she answers. "It's a tie. My mama, and the Chosen of Sune -- my godmother." Illi holds up a finger. "Sune's THE goddess of beauty and love in Toril, if you were curious. Her temples have mirrors and makeup you can use as part of worshiping her, that's how serious she is."

He looks down at her grinning. "You're adorable, you know that? One of these days we're going to trade stories and see who's the kinkiest." He leans down and whispers, "[size=85]You're going to lose by the way.[/size]"

"Anyways," he continues, "bard to bard, tell me truly. People right? They're so beautiful! An endless source of inspiration. I wanna know who the most beautiful person you've ever met is."

"I mean, I already told you, I've got a friend," She says with a smile. Illi links arms with Cyprian. "We weren't doing that already?" There's a little mischief in her voice now -- she's teasing him. "What you wanna talk about, Cypri?"

There's a genuine sigh of relief, that slowly turns to a smirk, then to a grin, then to a laugh.

"Alright, alright. I get it!" He laughs some more. "I really get it, actually."

He shakes his head. "I guess you don't need a Knight. Even one as handsome as charming as myself." He smiles jokingly. "But I do get it. I think I even get you now. Now that you're letting me know more of the REAL Illiam'iira."

He leads the way out of the arena.

"Mind if we talk for real? Bard to bard?"
