"Well, yes, but you're arguing semantics, really. I met that as a clever quip, not as a explanation to his life and experience. Though, I can't say if I've ever seen a artifact come thru here before. Wouldn't it be bright and magical or something?" She does give your question some thought. "No, I can't say I have found something like that. Well, any actual body parts. I have seen a lot of fake limbs come in, however. Can't say I've seen a jaw one before, but then again, most people don't live thru losing their jaw, to my knowledge."

The satyr hesitated for a moment. It was a long shot on multiple accounts, but what did they have to lose. Stranger things and all.

"By the way, Sister Cade, you don't happen to ever get... body parts showin' up here do you? Been a few jaws go missin' lately."

"Hopefully you do not fancy yourself as Cassana. Unless you have forgotten the circumstances under which his name was taken, not lost, and the purpose for which it was returned."

He seems to ease his tone as he continues, "How even the righteous Finder was corrupted when he did not respect the power of a magical artifact and misused it. The best of intentions can lead to tragedy."

"Whenever. I told him he could borrow it until someone came looking for it. And now you have!" She keeps her smile. "It's always nice to see people have their belongings return to them. Much like how Finder had his name return to him after it being forgotten for so long."

"When is he supposed to return the book?"

She glanced at her companions. They should be seeking out Ridnir as soon as possible.

"Well, normally I don't, but he's pretty honest about returning things. Besides, he helps out the community providing free food and care to the people in the neighborhood, over at his Weary Spirit Infirmary. That's down by the the Gatehouse." She nodded her head. "Yeah, like a few days prior, I believe it was then. So you've only lost it for a few days, no big deal. Don't worry, he's not the type to go scalping it, just not too often you see a book that big and he got curious."

((Nope, that book is always going to be big book, filled with forbidden knowledge))

''Where can we find this Ridnir?'' the flayer inquired

"Didn't realize this was a lendin' library." Thad says with a smile on his face but with his frustration leaking through.

He'd been hoping the attack on the Society would turn out to be unrelated, since it didn't make much sense to him. Who would want to attack such a nice party? He'd been optimistic enough to think they might find the book here waiting for them to claim it. But to find out it had been here and was carelessly relinquished to someone who would turn around and try to destroy the Festhall...

Though he was angered, he needed to confirm the timeline before jumping to conclusions. Plus, Sister Cade was a Chaosman. Although he didnt take her the type to want to take out the Sensates, especially if she was worshipping the Nameless Bard, Xaositects motives could not be comprehended at times.

"Did this happen to be 'fore fourth Guild?"

-----
Wasn't sure if the book had changed sizes with its owner or if it was still a giant book.
Also, would we know who Ridnir is? Is the infirmary infamous enough?"

"Oh! Yes. That really big book." She nods. "Oh, I lent it Ridnir a few days. How did you manage to lose a book that big?"

Akh nodded and provided a description that was consistent with her findings from the day before. She did it matter-of-factly, without delving into the tome's history or speculating about its impacts. Maybe you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but you may well find it that way.
