"Don't you dare," he grins playfully. Then once at the door he'll ask, "Are there any other rules I should be aware of? Languages I should avoid? A curfew I mustn't miss?"

She arched her brow on that remark, but didn't comment.

"Angyar is prone to anger. He is frustrated by his senility and his lot in life. The best way not to trigger him is to remain silent and demure when passing through the common space. If you need to talk anything through, talk to his wife. She's the only one who knows how to handle him."

His playfulness subsided and for a moment he smiles warmly. "I see." There's a curious look on his face but he too remains silent as you both step inside.

[Akh Uur Hoon]

Akh engaged in a quiet conversation with Wife-of-Angyar and some jink was passed, then she gestured to the ladder leading up, looking at Cyprian.

He'll head up the ladder quietly then turn and lend a hand to help. "Everything okay?" He whispers once she's on the landing.

She deftly got up, either out of practice or innate agility, or both. "Nothing out of ordinary. I've been having visitors before. As long as the Angyars get the jink and are not too disturbed by noises, we're fine here."

The attic was relatively tidy, small space expanded by the bedroll being rolled into the corner. One could stand straightened only below the ceiling joist. There was a desk opposite the small window, a chest of sorts, and two bookshelves. The roof had been patched multiple times to prevent accumulation of soot inside. There was a slight scent of perfume and incense lingering in the planks.

"Ahh," he rubs his neck. "I hope my being here isn't putting you out. I can certainly pay the rent but I wouldn't want to... tarnish your reputation in any sort of way."

[Akh Uur Hoon]

"I may already be a bit controversial in my faction, but I make it up by how I go about my duties." She reassured him with a smile. "There's a good chance our arrangement shall hold for the duration of your stay in Sigil. Besides, being me makes some parochial concerns silly."

"I owe you then." He beamed. "I'm sure you'll find your own way to collect."

He takes a look around and nods. "It's cozy, and I'll likely make liberal use of the desk." He removes his pack and places it down in the corner. "I told you before I don't require much but you weren't kidding when you said austere." He checks the floorboards. "I might at the very least bring up some pillows and a small mattress at some point." He looks at the window. "I wonder if a small couch, hmmm, no maybe not."

"My kidding skills are only so-so. Besides, I'd rather surprise than disappoint." She said as her symbols lit up and circled. "You can use the bedroll here for the time being. You already know I don't use it except for activities other than sleep. Last time I checked it was bug-free. I don't mind small improvements as long as they don't clutter the space too much."

She looked at his musical instrument.

"I vaguely recall something about private performances."
