As if the maze of back alleys and tenements weren't already difficult enough to navigate. Add to that the roaming bands of gangs, and perhaps worse - guards, and you've got the perfect recipe for a lost new-comer. Yet Cyprian continued his trek merrily enough. Be it in a festering fetid sewer, or a degenerate slum, he found himself at ease always.

At last he reached his destination. "I think this is right. House, next to the tomb, not far from..." He looks around. "... yep there's the bar, I think that's the Mortuary right?" He walks up the street a little ways searching for a sign.

[Akh Uur Hoon]

If his eyes were keen, he could spot Akh Uur Hoon speaking to another Dustmen by a large black obelisk full of inscriptions, surrounded by some sort of a memorial wall with yet more inscriptions.

She was in fact making sure that Death-of-Names would include those recently dead she had performed funerary rites for earlier this morning into the long litany of carved names.

"Ahh," he notices her and begins walking over. "There you are! I hope I'm not catching you at a bad time?"

[Akh Uur Hoon]

He had to wait a moment. Death-of-Names was very efficient in making new inscriptions across the walls in places that made little sense to any onlooker but carried an aura of orderliness when he was performing the task. Akh kept providing those names she'd performed a funeral for today. But she had given Cyprian a nod acknowledging his presence.

"I was wrapping up my daily functions here. Good peak, Cyprian." She said finally, walking out of the Mortuary's shade.

He waited patiently. It gave him a chance to survey his surroundings and commit it all to memory.

"Good... peak." He smiled. "I can come back if need be? I just wanted to know if your offer is still stood?"

The offer in question regarding living arrangements. When she previously inquired after his well being, he was confident that he'd earn enough jink through playing that he could easily afford to live out of inns. The truth, unfortunately, is that the city is practically overrun by bards.

"As long as the austerity of the living conditions doesn't estrange you." She pointed to the relatively decrepit building nearby, and to the small window in the attic. "I live there. The house belongs to Angyar. His elderly wife and him occupy the ground floor."

He follows her gaze and examines the building. Thankfully he had had it right.
"Yes, that should be fine." He nodded. "It might surprise you but I've called worse places home." There's a pause followed by a smirk. "Actually, I suppose it shouldn't since you saw at least one of those memories."

[Akh Uur Hoon]

"I don't presume you're now the person you have been before. We're all transformed by time. But if it's fine, then it's fine." She started walking toward the building. "Wife-of-Angyar sometimes helps with cleaning during her better days but she's old so living there involves certain menial tasks. Keeping the attic tidy should be a consideration." She glanced at him, making him recall a certain mess they'd left behind, but her attention was mainly on the surroundings. Even at peak the local thugs were there in shady corners, looking for an opportunity.

His face showed all the hallmarks of a blush minus the color change. "Hmmm, I don't mind." He fell in behind her. "I suspect I'll become quite adept at cleaning before long. If only one of us wasn't such a messy eater."

[Akh Uur Hoon]

"That one of us could constrain her appetite if this is what the other one truly wishes for." She replied with a gentle barb.
