Akh was amused be the simplicity of the key, which seemed easy to acquire. So this at least paved the wave for the expedition to go through. Now, she needed to refocus on spellbooks, especially the ones that would let her memorise the incantations for mental and physical fortitude so that she could be more reliable in meeting the mounting challenges.

Once over the hurdle she started seeking something on powerful magical books doing what they wanted, or some details on the Layer of Indifference, whatever was more readily available.

The main thing you discover is it not only cold, but incredibly windy there to. There is a establishment still in this abandoned plane aptly titled The Fortress of Indifference, also known as Taclac Mirrimba. The tower's made of a black iron gridwork, with humans, demihumans, and other creatures woven into the metal itself. Diligent care has is made to keep some of the victims alive, but most are dead. Disease & flies are rampant in this Fortress due to the effects.

Akh wasn't particularly scared of diseases, a perk of being dead, and Dead Pact would protect her against those on an approach or a climb, she assumed, but what about those with her?
