Sigil: The City of Doors

The Public Sensorium of the Sensates has transformed this afterpeak into a captivating realm of sensory exploration . As visitors step through its entrance, they are immediately enveloped in an atmosphere of wonder and anticipation. The chamber itself is a grand symphony of colors, textures, scents, and sounds, meticulously curated to stimulate every facet of the senses. The normally neutral and unobtrusive walls of the Sensorium come alive with vibrant and shifting images. Multicolored lights play across the surfaces, painting intricate patterns and scenes that dance to an unseen rhythm. Illusionary displays of breathtaking landscapes, fantastical creatures, and abstract shapes fill the air, offering glimpses into the myriad experiences that the Sensates have collected from across the multiverse.

Ethereal melodies and harmonies emanate from hidden sources, creating a sonorous backdrop that seems to synchronize with visitors' heartbeats. Echoing whispers, laughter, and the soothing murmurs of distant conversations add to the ambiance, creating a multisensory tapestry of auditory delight. The floor beneath visitors' feet is a lush, cushioned surface that adapts to their every step. As they walk, it seems to shift from cool grass to warm sand, to cool stone, all in seamless succession. Textured walls are adorned with tactile art pieces, inviting visitors to run their fingers over intricate carvings, smooth surfaces, and delicately woven fabrics that evoke a range of sensations. Fragrances are dispersed through the air, each one evoking a different emotion or memory. The aromas are carefully selected to trigger a sense of nostalgia, curiosity, or even provoke thought. Visitors might catch whiffs of blooming flowers, distant bonfires, exotic spices, or the tang of sea breeze. At the heart of the chamber is a communal area where visitors can sample an array of unique and flavorful dishes and beverages from across the planes. Exotic fruits, aromatic teas, spicy curries, and delicate confections are offered, each accompanied by its own story and sensory experience.

It seems as if this was made to be a fine evening of exploring the senses, and to explore the many sensations of the planes.

The preparations had been made.

Outside the Festhall was the illusion of a five foot cornucopia and flagon of wine floating above the entrance, advertising and enticing passerbys to the festivities being offered within.

Inside, the path to the Northumber Amphitheater was clearly marked and manned by low ranking Sensates to guide attendees. Annali and another group of volunteers were collecting admissions in the form of recordings.

The stage was set in the Amphitheater, ready for a wide range of planned and impromptu performances. Tables hosting a variety of foods and drinks were laid out, ready to satiate the different tastes and palates of the cage. As an afterthought, cautious after the actions of the Chaosmen and Anarchists, the Society had another selection of neophytes periodically completing rituals of Purify Food and Drink on the spread.

As the master of ceremonies, Thaddeus was ever present. Easy to spot in his stark white toga, barely hiding any modesty he might claim, a golden laurel wreath framing his recently polished horns, and little Cornelius perched on his shoulders surveying the scene.

There were parties where you had to struck just the right cord between showing off and remaining refined.

This was a sensate party however. So Dare threw every hint of subtlety through the window showed up riding a mechanical lion:

Sometimes it's good to let off steam, let your hair down, and just enjoy a night of partying. After the show he and Akh put on he changed into something a tad more comfortable. Originally he had a shirt on, but going off of the other attendees' attires, he felt that made him a tad over dressed. So off came the shirt, and gone are the inhibitions.

He grabs a drink at the bar before walking over towards Thaddeus.

"It's good to see you again friend!" Cyprian said wearing a smirk. "This was a fantastic idea! Perfect release from all the building tension in the city."

Seeing Cyprian approach, Thaddeus takes a few steps to meet him, greeting his friend with a hearty, back-slapping embrace. "I'm glad you could make it." He takes a step back so they could speak more comfortably. "Already, I've heard about your... unique performance." A smirk comes across his face. "It did sound promising. Perhaps we can work on it later. Give it some spit and polish."

Staring at the large beast. A woman approaches you with a large smile on her face and a elvish man at her side. "Oh, that's quite ostentatious of you to ride that big thing in here; I like it. I love how you've approached the spirit of this event, my dear."

Cyprian laughed good naturedly, "Yes, well I'd actually prepared a much better performance on the Lute believe it or not. But I decided to switch things up on a lark. It was a gamble of course - perhaps laced with overconfidence. But I'd assumed nobody would go to such a thing and 'wing it', and by that sense I supposed my sensation might stand out on daring alone." Another laugh. "Then Ikkit went and upstaged my winging." A shrug, "Ahh well, you sensates are a tough crowd to play for. Which makes sense I suppose - seeing as the extraordinary from all across the multiverse literally come and deposit their very best sensations in your vaults. So come on then, let's raise our first toast to them!"

He lifts his glass.

"To the City of Doors, and all the doors she opens! Prosit!"

Alynne seems frustated and on a corner, she couldn't understand why her musical abilities seem to not harmonize with the population of Sigil. What is that she was lacking in that particular regard completely baffles her.

Nonetheless she looks shiny and radiant, as always, a bit more than usual due to her slightly more elaborate makeup and dress selection for the occasion, but other than that, she is around just observing for now.

Dare pushed and pulled a few levers to make her lion sit instead of keep moving forward at a slow pace. Once the mechanical beast tamed, she jumped down and executed the mandatory curtsey:

"Lady Dare Shah, of house Shah. It's a pleasure to meet you in the flesh milady."

"Miss Alynne?" A familiar voice chimes. Illi leans over to try catching Alynne's gaze with a smile.

She's wearing lingerie. To the social function. A black satin negligee whose lacey hem stops only a few inches down her thigh. Black ribbons and black stockings with baby pink satin ribbons for garters.

...well, she honestly doesn't stick out too badly here. Illiam'iira's not the only one dressed in lingerie. 'Cept she's got a brigandine on and a sword under her arm. That part's a little weird at the party... probably.
