(Pregame - LE) 'Oh no! Not again!'

[Whisper]

"My name is Whisper, this is Hush." he gave the dogs long ears a scratch. "You are in the Red Lion Inn, within the Great Bazaar of Sigil. Which is probably one of the safer places you could have found yourself here. Sigil is a vast city, populated by beings from almost anywhere you might imagine."

[L'Orr-hui]

''Sigil is the closest thing to being the center of the multiverse'' they continued ''Whisper and I are members of the Free League...a political faction that operates here.''

A waiter was called silently

''I am L'Orr-hui.''

There's a flinch as he continues to internally struggle with L'Orr-hui's name. But he presses on bravely despite this.

"It is my great honor to meet you both!" He says with exuberance, looks down at the puppy and resists the desire to give him all the belly rubs, then looks back up. "So! This lady you mentioned. She's the one I should see about getting a portal back home then?"

It might surprise and shock some people. Being spirited away to a place centrally located in the multiverse. Never mind that the revelation that there IS a multiverse might evoke the same reaction. A scholar might find the revelation exhilarating. A philosopher might ponder at length the greater implications. Your average bard might be cowed into silence. But not Cyprian. To him this is a mere annoyance at best.

[Whisper]

"No." he shook his head. "It's best to not even think about her. There are far easier and safer ways to access a portal. So, where is home anyway?"

[Bria Tomay]

A young woman pushed open the heavy oak doors of the Red Lion Inn, greeted by the lively sounds of laughter and conversation that filled the air. As she stepped inside, the warmth of the bustling tavern washed over her, a welcome respite from the chill of the Sigilian streets outside. Her keen eyes scanned the crowded room, filled with beings of all shapes and sizes, chatting and clinking tankards together in celebration of life's mysteries. Two wemics followed behind her, waiting near the corner of the room. Many people turned to greet her, acknowledging her with a mix of respect and admiration.

The woman merely smiled nervously and waved at them, being friendly and warm to those who would approach her, albeit still unsure about what to do. Favoring to be close to the twins, she approached center stage and looked around to all the eyes on her as she pulled out a a silver-trimmed lute and began to adjust it a little as she began to get setup to begin performing.

"Ahhh home." If he has a weakness beyond beautiful women, it's talking about himself. "My home is Zobeck in a plane called Midgard. At least to us denizens therein. It's... a dark and dying plane, but it's home none-the-less."

There's a miserable glance towards the commotion and the stage, but his interest is still primarily geared towards self preservation. He looks momentarily back towards the broom closet. As if hoping to see a vortex having opened up in the time since sitting down.

"You said, 'Free League', and you've both mentioned other portals." He continues, "Am I to understand that you both know of such portals? Possibly even ones that lead to Midgard?"

[Whisper]

Hush left Whisper's side and silently padded over to the stage. He sat before it and stared at Bria expectantly. The hunter's eyes had followed the hound and were.now watching the woman as well.

[L'Orr-hui]

''We know some but it is nigh impossible to know them all. Some are permanent...some are temporary.'' the mindflayer explains ''Finding your way to your plane will require significant work and may yield little reward.''

His eyes shifted to the scene for a second before returning to the matter at hand

''Unless you have a way to plane travel by your own means.''

The bard grew pensive, silent. The illithid's words continued to resonate deep inside his mind, long after utterance. It was an unnerving feeling. What's more the implication of them...

"I must go home. I have people waiting for me. Do you, or possibly does your guild, have within it people who can travel the planes at will?" He pulled out his coin purse and frowned. He hadn't as much on him as he might have mustered back home. There's a sigh, "If it's a question of money I'll find a way to meet any price."

[Whisper]

"I'm not familiar with your home. I don't believe I've ever been there." He returned his attention to the conversation. "Money may help you, but only if you find someone who can actually help you. Even then, the cost may be greater than coin. As you may imagine, anyone with the ability to travel to any plane by their own power, would be very valuable."

"As for the Free League, we are an association of independent operatives who support one another." Whisper explained. "Sigil is ruled by the Lady, but it is run by the Factions. They're large and influential organizations, each of which follow specific goals, interests, beliefs and philosophies. We really aren't a Faction, but working together allows us to remain mostly free of their control and avoid conflict."
