Feeling a mixture of elation and dejection from his recent dealings and failures, Thaddeus leans into it and decides to visit the Fortune's Wheel for lunch. A little day drinking and gambling would settle the mood for the rest of the day. One had to learn to appreciate the highs and the lows... Plus, he had a hankering for some of their Abyssal Beef.

The satyr makes his way slowly through the tavern, eyeing who else had was partaking this Peak.

Taking a spot at the Dragon Bar, Thad calls out, "Pint of mead and some 'byssal beef." slapping down six pieces of gold on the bar.

The servers come in and, seeing such a handsome young thing drop some coin, immediately move to assist you in your request. The mead is placed down in front of you immediately, while your order of meat is placed in no time. The scene itself is somewhat busy for the mid-afternoon, though any local knows it's when it gets closer to afterpeak that the casino erupts in guests.



Sitting next to you a attractive Wood Elf, learning back in her seat. She turns and smiles at you as you look her way and nods politely, but otherwise does not engage.

Thaddeus holds off on the mead until his plate arrives. Nothin' better than a bite of hot, spicy Abyssal beef washed down with some sweet, chilled mead. The beef is tender but toothsome enough to offer a gratifying chew. Each time his teeth come together, more juices are released. He takes a gulp of mead, sucking in a bit of air at the same time to aerate the beverage in his mouth.

Exhaling with satisfaction, he lifts his pint to the wood elf in greeting, "What brings you here today? Tryin' your luck on the Wheel, or just enjoying a bit of the fare?"

She shakes her head and smiles at you. "Oh no, I don't believe in gambling; I'm on break. I run the inn upstairs. Just finished cleaning and wanted to grab a drink and a small bite before the rush begins. What about you, come to press your luck?"

"A bit of both. I've had an interesting few days. Thought I'd test my luck on the Wheel, treat myself to a nice lunch, maybe some nice company."

She smiles widely at the offer. "Well, nice company I'm always up for as well. Suppose I can fit the bill for a few hours before it gets...busy. What's your name, Mister Lucky?"

The satyr stands from his stool and bows deeply with a flourish, "Thaddeus, Factotum of the Society of Sensation. And whose company do I have the honor of this Peak?"

"Verden." She say with a soft smile, looking up at you. "Just a wood elf trying to make her way in this town." She looks up at him too with a large grin. "Oh, a Sensate too...my luck is improving. Maybe I should go hit the tables, after all. Tell me, Thaddeus, what sort of sensations am I to expect during our time together this afternoon?"

He takes his seat again, angling himself towards Verden. "There's no end to the sensations you could expect. The question is, what would you seek? I've brought my instrument along with me, but the other patrons here may not appreciate me whipping it out here. We could go somewhere more private and I could show you my flutter tongue technique."
