Post by Flession » Wed Aug 09, 2023 9:34 am

In the wake of the uproarious upheaval caused by the recent Xaositect Shenanigans, a calm and methodical presence has emerged to mend the disarray that befell the City Court in Sigil's esteemed Lady's Ward. The Guvners, renowned for their meticulous approach to organization and logistics, have taken charge of the restoration efforts, aiming to cleanse the chaos and restore the Lady's Ward's symbol of justice and governance to its former glory.

And they want it done before the Court opens in a few hours, so hop to it!

After his conversation with Dare Shah the previous evening, this was a no-brainer for Ikkit, not just a chance to put in some work, but to demonstrate the need for the skillset his proposed Guild would be employing.

Besides, after Dare's help, he figured he owed the Guvners some elbow grease.

So he set to work restoring damaged fixtures, using a little of his habitual know-how to work some polish into scuffed woodwork

But given how Orokos had been punishing his rolls this game, his player didn't go for any Raises, and thus, he only produced a single Clean Point

Now, Sings was not; as a rule; much of a fan of the Guvners. All that dedication to things being *orderly* and what not really didn't quite sit well with her. But, as far as order-focused factions were concerned, they weren't as bad as they came. 'Course, there was a point or three hundred to make about how really ought to be concerned not just with their own stretch of the land when it came to these sorts of matters, but well; she was no berk who didn't know the way of things. At least she could use the opportunity to maybe put a few words into the right ears, let them know to spread some charity around the poorer parts of the city later, perhaps.

So she was there; doing all of the talky bits, making sure everyone knew what it is that needed doing and where and how, and so on and so forth.

Akh Uur Hoon had prepared to guide the restoration of cenotaphs, memorials and other places of remembrance in the Court.

But she was successfully discouraged from doing so when her morbid dedication became apparent to the Guvners, and ended up not contributing. They wanted to renew it, not to embrace its death.

Amelie arrived at the city court, happily willing to assist the Guvners with their proposed plan for cleanup. However, in her attempts to gather up important paperwork and documents from the chaotic area, she flew too close to the sun and found much of her time wasted sorting through documents that were beyond retrieval.

She contributes nothing to the effort.

Whisper and Hush wandered through. The genasi had really just wanted to get a look at the mess, but he saw the effort to clean up and didn't see any harm in volunteering. He uncovered a few documents here and there and got them to their proper place. It wasn't much, but they were probably important to someone.

Alynne didn't help much, even though she is a good singer and performer, motivational even, it seems that for some reason, she cannot engage with the people of Sigil on a more empathic level. Her efforts were in vain.

It was her fault really. Giving carte blanche to the unproven goblin scavenger to deal with the aftermath of the weirdest event to have happened in Sigil in weeks, on an impossible schedule, and when everyone was dead tired as a consequence of said chaos. Including her, hence why the idea had felt logical the day before, after the fifth cup of tea of evening.

As of now, she had managed to defend the magical defenses of the Courts from that well meaning and all the more destructive ragtag bunch of misfits. Perhaps if she kept at it for the next couple of hours the situation wouldn't be worst than before they attempted to help?

Well now.

L'Orr-hui could not claim to be surprised when the administration would put all efforts in rebuilding their sector. Still...a lack of justice would help no one. People did put their faith in this system and the ills that could come should legitimate grievances be hear could prove devastating.

Order was not the enemy of Freedom

And the illithid was good with paperwork anyway

Day4 Beautification project, Investigation, Advantage (Goggles), Skill empowerment, DC 23: 2#1d20+13 23 22 (+9 points)

During their walk around the court to assemble the papers, they noticed more the a few people in disarray. After a long sigh, the Chronothurge raised a hand into the either to grasp a few strands of passing time. All of the workers could not be helped but some failure were not final quite yet. The world seemed to slow as the illithid's mind followed the pattern of the time weave and, a few thugs and pulls later, two would find themselves with a sense of déjà vu and an opportunity to succeed.

Time couldn't be twisted with this one, it was almost as The Lady herself was meddling and using her powers to clearly not allow a distortion to her city through the actions of the Celadrin...
