[D3 EN] Dancing In The Moonlight

[Fyne]

Within the temple there is a reflective section of the ceiling that approximates Toril's moon when a few braziers are lit. Fyne stands beneath it wit other followers, all dancing rhythmically to the sounds of traditional elven music. Fyne seems to be having a grand time, naked as the rest, spinning and twirling with the beat. He looks to gathered friends and allies in Eilistraee's service.

[Illiam'iira]

Illiam'iira, in contrast, leans against a wall, watching the gathered's dancing. Embroidered ribbons in her hair, her brooch, and black satin ribbons along her forearms and legs are her only accompaniment tonight -- even here she has her style. Her light's dim, her eyes a little red. The girl looks exhausted. But she still joined them, and sometimes that's enough. When their eyes meet Fyne gets a tired smile and a wave.

[Fyne]

He nods an acknowledgement and greeting and smiles back. After a few more minutes he moves to join her by the wall. "Doing okay, Illiam'iira?" he asks, curious and concerned.

[Illiam'iira]

"Just one of those days," She answers, gesturing vaguely. "...a lot of days like that... I'm just feeling it..." Illiam slides a few inches down the wall with a little groan. "I know you're here to dance, but... could I steal you for a bit, later..?"

[Fyne]

"If you want me for the rest of the night I'm yours. I'd rather be helping you than not," he says with a warm smile. "How can I help you?"

[Illiam'iira]

That gets a weak smile back. "Just be here with me for a bit?" Her hand is offered up for his. "I -- I feel bad." Illi wipes her eyes.

This close, the embroidery on the ribbons in her hair is easier to make out. It's drow. Only part is readable, though, given they're tied into bows.
You are but ash upon...

[Fyne]

"Alright," he says with a nod. "But while I'm sitting here with you, you should feel free to talk about anything you're comfortable with sharing, if you need any support." He lets off with that and then hangs out with her as long as she needs, whether she wants to talk or wants to just be.

[Illiam'iira]

Her hands go to her brooch, cradling it. IIlli takes a few minutes of silence to finally verbalize her emotions.

"...do you ever feel like... uhm..." This is really hard. "Do you ever feel like, no matter what you do, it's never good enough?" Of course he does, Illiam, she thinks to herself as she blinks back tears. Everyone feels like that sometimes. Her shoulders slump.

[Fyne]

"Yes and no. I often feel like I could be doing more. But then I am reminded of something I was once taught. There are people out there working to undo the things I hope to accomplish, but they'd be much farther along if I hadn't done my part thus far. We can't know if what we've done is good enough, but if we don't try it definitely can't be enough. And you can only give as much as you have."

[Illiam'iira]

"Yes and no. I often feel like I could be doing more. But then I am reminded of something I was once taught. "Oh." Illiam'iira's suddenly found the floor very interesting. He sounds a bit like her grandmother -- all you have is who you are and what you give. But not quite the same. "...I know... the little bit I do helps... I meant, more..." Her grip on her brooch tightens, knuckles almost white with the grip of it. "...when I'm around people... I never seem to fit in quite right... even here... even home... I'm just not enough. Not enough of a person, not enough of a friend, not enough of a daughter."

"I mean, I know how people see me, you know?"
