Day 3 MA: Preparing for the excursion (Lady's library)

The illithid had one more subject to research beside this point but they deemed that an expedition to Toril might be the most pressing issue. There was things to prepare, portals to find and logistics on the plane itself.

Not a stranger to the Lady's Library, Thaddeus weaved between the stacks, Cornelius in tow. After collecting a number of works about the history of the Outlands and the indigenous Rilmani, he locates some bare table space to lay out his materials.

As Cornelius settles down into a nearby chair, Thad notices a familiar but unacquainted face at the adjacent table. Being the ever curious social butterfly, a parley is inevitable.

"Good peak to you," he calls out just loud enough for L'Orr to hear. He gestures to the books and scrolls they had accumulated, "Seen you banging 'round here a few times. What's the chant today?"

The illithid's gaze lifts up from the parchement they were currently translating

''Good peak to you as well'' came as a dispassionate reply from the flayer in the back of the satyr's mind ''Today the Xaosist seems to have monopolize the chant for themselves''

Oh, that's a different sensation... not quite the same as Message. This pleases him greatly.

Thad begins to respond out loud, "Th..." but decides to try thinking it to the illithid instead. "The Xoasists did cause some trouble. Almost caught a few red-handed, but there was too much goin' on. I meant what're you 'searchin' up?"

The illithid's tentacles ondulated ever so lightly

"The Prime huh... Why is there a book on Dunatis here? Who is Dunatis?... trying to get to the Prime or to get back?" some of his extraneous thoughts leak through as he simultaneously organizes his research materials.

''I seek to organize an expedition, of shorts.'' they replied, unbothered and quite used to diverging thoughts. They held that it was better to have a wandering mind the no mind at all ''I aim to visit a place called Candlekeep for research and then come back here''
