Day One, Early Morning: Voluntary Probing

[L'Orr-hui]

Ratswell was making the rounds in the office to make sure everything was in order while his master was finishing reading today's edition of S.I.G.I.S at the counter.

It's a rag but even such things have utility.

The familiar squeeked as it made a snack of a millipede. Truly honest work was it's own reward.

The bard walked into the store with no small measure of apprehension. Cliche as it was he'd never done something like this before. But for some reason that defied conventional reason, he trusted L'orr.

"Good morning," he said nervously. "I hope I'm not too early... or late. Time keeping is still a bit problematic for me."

[L'Orr-hui]

L'Orr-hui lifted their head from the counter and the copy of what can be generously called a newspaper.

''You are on time ser Kircheis. Did you manage to find rest?''

[Cyprian Kircheis]

"I did, an inn in the worker district."

There are superficial wounds all over his body. Wounds he tries in vain to cover up. He is otherwise still wearing the same clothes from the other day.

"I have to ask now, do you sleep ser?" Despite his apprehension there's a genuine sense of curiosity to the question. "I met the most enchanting creature yesterday. We were discussing the differences between species when she informed me of her own sleeping habits, or rather lack thereof."

''I do need rest'' the flayer confirmed ''I wish I had a way to limit it but sleep is needed and beneficial for any intellectual pursuit.''

The Chronomancer then motioned the minstrel to follow them in the consultation room. Said room was about the same size as the waiting one but only had three pieces of furniture: a couch where one individual could lay on, a comfortable looking chair situated behind it and a locked cabinet of some kind near.

Do you have any concern or apprehension towards the probing? ther asked as a consent form was obtained and passed to their visitor.

"Naturally I'm apprehensive," he sighed, "but if it helps me get home..."

He looks over the consent form as he continues.

"You're only going to magically read my mind right? There won't be any binding involved, or insertion of needles, or appendages, or-" he shivers, "-creatures of any kind?"

[L'Orr-hui]

''Indeed: Forceful or painful intrusions are as crual as they are counterproductive.'' they confirmed

''Do you have your instrument?''

[Cyprian Kircheis]

"Never leave home without it." He finished reading the form, signed then handed it back. "So how should we proceed?"

[L'Orr-hui]

''To begin I would ask you to lay down on the recliner couch and get yourself comfortable. I will then cast the spell and let you talk about your home, only interrupting to ask precision or to direct you in a specific direction should I find something interesting. Once this is done I will ask you to sing about your home, your life, your adventures and ecetera.''

[Cyprian Kircheis]

"Okay," he breathes then deposits his belongings nearby. Then laying on the couch he waits for the spell to be cast.

After the spell is cast he sighs pensively. "Where to begin..."

As he speaks his mind conjures images of the moon in the night sky hanging over the forests at night. The star pattern is strange as he begins narrating. "About my home I can tell you- tell you-" His mind shifts to a tower over looking Zobeck. "There is a single primary moon as well as seven lesser moons. We know them as the-"

MAGE'S STARS: His mind shifts to a black tapestry and a floating disk with the nearby moon and its 7 lesser companions. In the distance sits the suns. The disk is circled by a great wyrm, Ouroborus, and on the flip side is another civilization - though he doesn't have a memory of this civilization, there are only rumors that they exist.

"-we call them this for their symbology in arcane magic. Then there are the stars. I believe I touched on this before but they are sentient. Occasionally they come to Midgard to visit. Or to aid our world in times of great turmoil. Oh, I once had a lovely conversation with a star I believe."

A picture forms of a radiant silver haired maiden in a silver gown with a bright white aura.

"I don't know for sure if she was indeed a star, but I do know that she was beautiful."

The scenery shifts again to a world shrouded in darkness. Then a seaside city of terraces. Great wastes, giant summoned walkers, sloping hills, and elder forests. The whole of Midgard, what he can remember, all laid out as best as he can remember it.
