"We'll be trying to find a warden tree." he explained. "They're old trees that watch over the rest of the forest. I've never met one, and don't know much about them, but the elves mentioned them."

Stretching out hus arms, he spoke a few words and described the type of tree again.

After Illiam mentioned flying, Thad feel a twinge of regret and longing for his much enjoyed Broom of Flying; however, thanks to his luck on the Wheel, he had an alternative. Thad was digging out his immovable rods with some rope and stirrup loops attached when he hears Whisper casting a spell that was not Fly.

He stands up, rods and rope in hand.

Illi boggles a bit at what Thaddeus brings about, now... genuinely curious what he's gonna do. And how he's gonna do it. This trip just keeps getting more and more interesting!

You do get a small sense of something in the background as something far off into the distance several miles out.

Even though there are no elves living here that you known of.

Seeing Illiam's confusion, he lifts the rods and let's the ropes fall, showing the loops at the bottom that act as stirrups. "Thought we had to go up. Rigged these up to be like a floatin' ladder."

A few miles wasn't ideal, but it also wasn't unreasonable. At the very least it offered more exploration of the forest. "Lead the way Whisper."
