The illithid was not a fool, guessing at the other wizard's motives, but they could not begrudge them. They turned to the others

''Do you already know what to research?''

"Demiplane of time, potential pathways to enter, beings that can make the trip, places where we can cross over... that sort of thing," Fyne says. "Anything more specific, or should I just assist you?"

The Awoken monk raises a eyebrow. "The Demiplane of Time? Well, we still know vastly little about it, but I can lead you where you need to go to discover it."

"Uhm, would you two like some help with that once I've peeked at the books I'm interested in?"

Fyne looks to the Awoken monk. "Well, you all are interested in information. Allow me to explain my situation to see if it might provide some motivation for assistance. I ended up on the demiplane of time through a magical mishap. I remember being there for a couple days, meeting some strange being and then waking up on Toril. There is a gap between those two things, and when I woke up my muscle memory had been completely altered, my abilities and divine connection had been severed and I was connected to something else that is my patron. And I know a long period has to have passed because I have dozens of scars that didn't exist before I landed there. So I have memories that have been locked away that are probably full of experiences dealing with that demi plane, because the scars would have taken years to gather and heal, but I woke up on Toril a day after I disappeared according to my companions I was with at the time. So some time... stuff... happened. According to a goddess of time, I pretty much have to talk to my patron to get those memories back or reconnect with Eilistraee. L'Orr-hui here will likely write a treatise on everything surrounding this and from how I understand things, that's potentially a very valuable payment they could offer to Candlekeep for access in the future."

Fyne hoped the idea would help motivate the Awoken monk.

[Flession]

The Awoken seems rather stunned, taken back by the complete dump of a complex narrative thrown at him in a few seconds time. "Uhh...I...don't know how much you'll be able to get in a few hours time on that subject, but...uhh...okay. We'll see what we can do." His eyes nor his mannerisms did not hide the sheer shock from it. "Are you, uh, sure you don't want to stay here for a few days and research that?"
