Another one stands up and asks, though this one is giving a little bit longer gaze at Cyprian than would be appropriate.

"Tell me, Dhampir, what does it feel like to straddle the line between life and death? Do you find comfort in the certainty of undeath, or do you long for the embrace of the true afterlife?"

[Cyprian Kircheis]

(Do they say it in a sultry voice, or a threatening voice? Actually that's fine.)

"One way or another, true death is an inevitability isn't it?" He grins. "I find comfort when I can, where I can. As anyone does. But never at the discomfort of others."

[Akh Uur Hoon]

Since this seemed to be the last question, Akh Uur Hoon dismissed the initiates.

"I hope it wasn't a discomfort for you to talk about yourself before a larger audience."

[Cyprian Kircheis]

He laughed while rubbing his neck, "I'll admit I'm used to being the focus of attention, but... that was different." He thinks about that last student's question. There's a little concern as he mulls over her meaning. "At the very least it was informative. I've never studied the differences between dhampiric and vampiric anatomy." He clears his throat, "Inside of a classroom at any rate."

He looks around the room, "But I've now seen the inside of this building which was one thing I was hoping to do anyways."

[Akh Uur Hoon]

"Do you want a guided tour? The undead labourers should leave you be as long as you stay close to me."

[Cyprian Kircheis]

"Please," he says, "if that's okay of course?"

[Akh Uur Hoon]

"Some areas are off-limits for those out of faction, especially on the upper floors. But here, amid the halls of the dead, we can move freely. You've probably noticed the giant skeletons guarding the entrance and the main area; this is our security precaution."

[Cyprian Kircheis]

"Yes," he followed along behind her. "I had noticed but I have also been reading a little about your guild. I still find the idea that I've been dead since birth... interesting. I have yet to reach the material proof behind this supposition. Have others seen or recall instances of this 'life before our deaths'? Or is there a patron god that has spoken of 'true life'?"

[Akh Uur Hoon]

"Every death diminishes the soul. It reincarnates as lesser. If you run this logic backwards it means that if you find yourself deficient in any way there must have been a time for your soul when it was less the case, when life was truer. Gods needn't be involved in the process as they are similarly affected."

[Cyprian Kircheis]

"It's a strange concept. I'm not sure I'll ever fully understand it." He says as the tour progresses. "I've always lived life in the moment, never thinking more than one move ahead. Which has naturally acted towards my detriment on many an occasion, but at the same time I'm unable to imagine myself doing otherwise. I wonder then if there was a time before when I was paralyzed with indecision. When I was content to stay in one place rather than chase my desires."
