"Yeah, that doesn't work for me," Fyne says. "I'm kind of a fan of not murdering or mutilating corpses. Unless you have some other explanation for the grisly tableau you're making?"

After setting their eye from the corner on the scene and the other three who step into the alley, a sphere steps in - or rather, floats in in a rather roundabout way, setting off just inches from the ground and coming back to the ground at a bit of a distance.

They have an awfully silly smile on their face.

"Heiya! Don't think we've seen ya around before, one? Zero on the Gatehouse either! You lost, half-half?"

Still with the silly smile on their face, they look at the body on the floor.

"Oh. Ooooh... did the poor sod want to go lost, then? Ya could have let them find their way there, one? That's more respectful!"

Bringing his broom to a halt, Thaddeus hovers above and watches the situation unfold. It wasn't the most gruesome scene he'd stumbled upon in the Hive, but what the stranger was doing to the lost was... odd. Either way, he scanned two things from what he could see. First, a cutter doing something so brashly was likely dangerous. Second, he'd probably done enough to have a decent bounty on his head.

Thad says a quick prayer to the Great Kahn and asks for Guidance.

Ikkit's emotions on the matter were... complex.

There seemed to be enough of a crowd to make it a noisy enough matter to draw, and one of them was someone he'd just as soon stab as look at (and who plainly hadn't learned a damn thing since their last encounter), but...

But this absolute berk was threatening him, and causing undue trouble for Ikkit's city. So ikkit's eyes narrowed, and then he made like a hole in the air.

[Thanks to being a gobbo, Ikkit can HIde as a bonus action- Stealth roll for Hide Free Action.: 1d20+13 20. As a Gloom Stalker, while in darkness he is invisible to any creature relying on Darkvision to see him in that darkness. ]

"To explain it would get you involved, and I had already made it clear how I feel about you lot getting involved." He still has yet to stop his work as he speaks. "So let me lessnice about it; piss off. Last warning."

His head tilts upward to indicate he heard the sound of a spell being cast above him above him. "Alright, fine then...we'll do this the easy way." He begins to tilt his head backwards and draw out his bow, standing up slightly.

The monodrone's head tilts sideways to one side, then the other. It looked as if the human hadn't even heard them. Maybe they had fallen back to old habits and spoken in clicks and whirrs? Half-half... 60% if they spoke again it they might actually hear them?

"Heiya! Ya in the murky robes!", they said, the single eye looking straight at them. "This has zero need to be a fight, ya know!"

Need or not, they do get their shortbow in position and measure the approximate distance and best firing angle to them. One sod in the books was better than many, after all!

----
Not moving this turn.
Free Action: Speak (assuming that's fine?)
Bonus action: Steady Aim.
Action: Ready action to shoot with the shortbow at the unfriendly berk;
Trigger: If they actually attack someone/cast a hostile spell on someone in the scene.

"I agree. The exit's to your left and to the right; I'm not stopping you from using it." The man says dryly.

Well, a cutter didn't last long in the cage by standing or flying around and waiting for someone else to take the first shot. Without another thought, Thaddeus holds up his ringed hand and lets loose two beams of Eldritch Blast.

After getting off his spell, Thad does the practical thing and flies his broom over the rooftop so that he is out of line of sight and line of fire of his opponent.

First beam:
D2, EN, Racing Into The Night, R1, Eldritch Blast #1 on Mysterio | 1d20+7 ⇒ 23
23 to Hit
D2, EN, Racing Into The Night, R1, Eldritch Blast #1 on Mysterio, damage | 1d10+4 ⇒ 12

Second beam:

12 to hit
D2, EN, Racing Into The Night, R1, Eldritch Blast #2 on Mysterio, damage | 1d10 ⇒ 9

The first strike hits the man as he slowly moves back, with a palatable hit to boot.

He still stood strong, though, only looking more annoyed at the present situation.

Fyne and Lirrax move, communicating telepathically to get into their positions. Fine chants some arcane words and opens his palm at the hooded figure, casting Mind Sliver at the guy. He then focuses on Lirrax, urging her to attempt to sting the man with her tail. Lirrax's attack is rushed and not very good.

----
Move into position

Action to cast
D2 EN, Racing, Mind Sliver: 2d6 5 DC 17 Int save to resist, if failed he gets -1d4 on his next saving throw

Bonus action to order Lirrax to attack
D2 EN, Racing, Sting Attack, Magical Piercing Damage, plus poison: 1d20+4 11 1d4+2 4 Not that it'll hit, but if it does: the target must succeed on a DC 17 Constitution saving throw or become poisoned for 1 hour. If the saving throw fails by 5 or more, the target falls unconscious for the same duration, or until it takes damage or another creature uses an action to shake it awake.
