Trouble seemed to be brewing in the Cage. It was time for Thad to cash in some luxury items and make a few practical selections.

Before entering the shop, he makes use of his most recent acquisition. Channeling the arcane energies stored in the wand, the satyr casts Enhance Ability(Eagle's Splendor) upon himself.

The comforting sound of a bell rings as Thad pushes open the door and makes his way inside, offering the guard Balaka a nod. A little shopping therapy was always welcome. He spends a little time perusing the wares before making his way over to the proprietor.

"A'kin, I've come with some goods for trade."

[Flession]

The devil stands watch over you as you peruse the items. A'kin, though, patiently awaits for your arrival, as if he knows the true reason you are here. "Ahh, Thaddeus! It has been some time, my friend. Come, come, come. What have you brought me today?" His smile does not dissipate as your approach stops at him.

[Thaddeus]

"A'kin! You know me, I only bring the best of the best. I've come across a rather intriguing device. 'Tis a wand that stores the magics for the spell Enhance Ability. I came here to the finest repository of magical artifacts in the Cage to seek your erudite opinion.

Also, I might be willing to let go of my broom of flying today, if the jink is right."

[Flession]

"Oh, a hot item outside of Sigil! I can give you that at a high price! And a magic wand...hmm.." He extends his hand to you, to take a look at the wand. "Not too often I find that spell in a wand. May I see it?"

[Thaddeus]

Thad produces the wand from the within the folds of his cloak. "Not too often indeed and even more useful than it is rare. 'Twould need to be somethin' quite advantageous for a cutter to give it up."

He hands over the wand for inspection and gives some of the contents of the shop a second glance. "Luckily, I've a few such items in mind."

The friendly demon gives the wind a glance and pulls out a pearl, spending a minute to focus on the wand, chanting some magical words as it gets brighter before pulling it away. "Ahh, yes. Sure enough. Useful spell, no doubt, plenty to do with it. I'll give you 300 for it! A fair price for such a uncommon wand, I think." He nods very assuringly of his estimate.

"Iffin' 300's the best you can offer, I'll probably make better use with it. What 'bout the broom?"

Thad pulls out the brooms, sitting back onto as it levitates into the air, showing off it's magical properties.

[Flession]

A'kin raises his eye at that and scoffs. "Oh...you tease me, Thaddeus. Offering me something interesting and taking it away. I'm on to your wiley ways." He sighs, looking at the broom. "Let me think about that..."

"Just yesterday, this broom saved my life. Kept me above them roofs while a maniac shot arrows at me. I hate to let it go, but I've other baubles in mind."

"Oh fine...I can try to up the cost a little, make it all back. 500 gold. Can't go higher than that. I'm afraid. What I can do for you, however, is throw in a small box of Elysian tea to sweeten the deal, to ensure you feel you got the right deal from me. I just got a batch in the other day and I must say, it is quite the experience. Makes me want to go there myself to shake their hands, but then I'd probably be killed on sight." He chuckles a little and motions to examine the broom in the same way he did the wand. "A shame to lose it for you, but I suppose with Sigil's laws being as they are, you can't guarantee it'll get as much lose. You should consider venturing out into the Planes a little, Thaddeus. Enjoy some actual air, rather than the ones imported in. At the very least, go to a Gate-Town or something. The Great Kahn surely does not command you to stay here forever more."
