"They're not really the sort to actively recruit, I don't think. But I think maybe you and them have a different notion of what chaos is. It ain't about violence or anything like that. Stabbing some stranger's eye out for absolutely no reason as you pass them on the street is as chaotic as offering them sugarcubes for similarly no reason. It's about the randomness, I suppose. And a berk who just goes around randomly killing people all the time is actually pretty predictable, ain't he?"

She shrugged. "Thing about the chaosmen is they don't like being predictable, so they act barmy all the time. Which is the one thing you can count on with them. Except when you can't. I remember when I was a tad younger than I am now, the whole lot of them suddenly stopped being barking mad for a few weeks all over the Cage. They were all perfectly civilized and rational all of the sudden. Which drove the whole rest of the city barmy of course, figuring there had to be some trick to it. Which there actually wasn't."

Another shrug followed. "Anyway, don't get me wrong, not looking to defend the barmies overly much. And as for your question, well, I've been just fine. Taking it easy. How about yourself?"

[Fyne]

"I've been surviving the chaos, and trying to not piss the wrong people off, while simultaneously not knowing who the wrong people are," he says with a smirk.

"Mostly trying to solve the mystery of my memories not functioning, figure out who some hooded perv that likes mutilating bodies is, and finding odd jobs. And I've been doing okay with that."

[Sings-With-Purpose]

"Huh?" She looked slightly confused, "Plenty of hooded pervs who like mutilating bodies. Just head to the Mortuary. Though, I'm guessing this is something else? Well, first I heard of it. Or maybe I've just tuned it out. Lots of nasty business going on all the time in the cage, after all. And lost memory, eh? Well, can't much help with that I'm afraid."

[Fyne]

"Some... being... that was good with illusion, talking about some balance or something. They were mutilating the body to prevent people from talking to the dead or resurrecting them. Guy liked to talk nearly as much as I do, but they were definitely more arrogant than me. Which is pretty damn arrogant. I just took to calling them hooded perv to annoy them."

[Sings-With-Purpose]

"Balance?" She looked thoughtful at what he was saying, "You jib with a dustie 'bout this yet? Godsmen and the Dustmen aren't on best of terms on the whole, but I sure won't deny that they're the ones who might have a say or two about someone going around doing things to corpses. Could be they'd know a thing or two 'bout speaking to these dead anyhows too."

[Fyne]

"Not yet, but I got someone I can chat about it with," he says with a nod. "Trying to build my list of connections. I might be here in Sigil for a while."

[Sings-With-Purpose]

"That's how it often ends up for primers, sure. Either finding their way back home ends up being too difficult, or they figure that if you're going to be anywhere, the city of doors ain't the worst place to be. Center of the multiverse and all that, easy access to the planes."

[Fyne]

"I think I can send myself home with a banishment actually. Does that work here? Not that I'm trying to at the moment."

[Sings-With-Purpose]

She let out a hearty laugh at that notion. "See, now you're thinking! Don't know that it would, though. Don't have much experience with that kind of magic myself, so I can't rightly say for sure. But generally speaking teleportation type of magic doesn't work in the Cage. The Lady keeps folk from getting in and out of the city that way. Course, an old fashioned banishing spell might not exactly count, but good shot that it won't in my estimation. Then I've heard tell that such things work a little different on primers versus planars anyhow, though I don't know the dark of it."

[Fyne]

"Well, I'll have to test it out on the next fellow primer that gives me reason to try and get rid of them," he says with a smirk. "Maybe I should have tried it on the hooded perv. Experimentation is in order probably."
