D0 - Artistic Sensations (open)

[Alynne Valaris]

'' Sure, no problem.'' She agrees in walking around with him. Her raven still has its eyes fixed upon Cyprian, almost as if the creature was judging him.

'' So in a way the Sensates are akin to a bardic guild, but also they do not. They are something far more complex than that.'' She started explaining as they walked around. '' They are, as far as a i know and comprehend, a multiplanar philosophy, like all other factions in this city.''

[Cyprian Kircheis]

"Ahh, I see." He found the raven quite pretty, but otherwise paid it no mind as he fell in with Alynne. "And this philosophy. Should I hazard a guess that it revolves around the senses? We feel therefore we are?"

The first act they come upon is a troupe of jugglers actively taking one another's batons in a well choreographed battle sequence. But the musicians deserve all the credit.

[Alynne Valaris]

'' Somewhat akin to that, indeed.'' She nods to Cyprian as she observe the jugglers doing their choreograph. '' The Sensates believe that in order to explain the universe one must be able to experience it and feel it. If one can't sense then there is no existence, so to speak.'' She adds.

'' But the definition of sensing is much more profound than just honed to common senses''

[Cyprian Kircheis]

"How so?" He asks with genuine curiosity. "Wait, I know! Perhaps harmony beyond cognition!" He elaborates. "That the ability to sense the world means that the world somehow senses us? And we are striving for harmony between audience and musician?"

[Alynne Valaris]

''Again I'm not completely sure myself....'' Alynne just shrugs. '' I just recently joined them, more out of curiosity, than out of true understanding, but i guess it would be something like you said, Lord Kircheis.'' She adds. '' Being able to sense transcends the self and can be able to break the meaning of the boundaries between the you and the other?'' She was not so sure if that made any sense at all.

'' But anyway, that is what the Society of Sensation preaches. If you are interested in joining you will have to share some sensations with them to record for others to be able to experience them.''

[Cyprian Kircheis]

"I might just!" He nodded. "As a patron of the senses it would seem right and proper to share what I have discovered along my own journey. But tell me..." he adds, "... how do they go about recording senses?" He thinks on it more. "Might I ask what it was you offered up yourself?"

Despite his initial bravado, his manner of questioning, tone, and even his expression are of earnest sincerity.

'' You have to go and record them in sensory stones.'' She replied. '' They are magical stones that work only in the Guildhall that allows people to record sensations and for other to experience them while attuning to their power. '' She added.

'' Well, you should go and ask it for yourself.'' She giggled. '' Not going to spoiler what i recorded.''

[Cyprian Kircheis]

He grins. "Curiosity alone might pull me into your society. But that's okay, should I join we can share our recordings. Perhaps even make more together? I would very much like to see you perform sometime."

[Alynne Valaris]

''Sure thing. I might be able to perform in one of the Sensoriums or stages inside the Guildhall if they allow me to.'' She told him. '' I might be able to found some seats for you, although i don't understand how the Society works in that regard.''

[Cyprian Kircheis]

"I'll admit, I might have hoped for a more intimate setting. But if I must admire you at a distance, I will suffer in dignified penitence." He chuckles softly. "I would also confess, I'm a twinge envious. You are no doubt used to filling amphitheaters with both audiences and sound. Where as I am but a humble adventurer. My fortune back home made through hardship rather than artistic pursuits."

He's silent for a moment.

"If I do end up staying here, I think I'm going to shift my focus back around to my music."
