[D1, MM-LM] A Leisurely Walk

Many mornings, Thaddeus could be found outside the Festhall, either performing with one of the instruments he claimed proficiency in or partaking of others' performances. This particular morning however, his interest lay in observing the multitude of transients the streets hosted daily.
The assignment he took on this day was to read the emotions of others by various cues. Much more familiar with manipulating the emotions of others to his own designs, he could readily see the value in this little exercise. To aide him in this endeavor, Thad offered frequent prayers for guidance to Al-Jasem and had brought his little pygmy goat Cornelius along. He did not expect any insights from the rambunctious goat, but rather relied on him to elicit reactions from the subjects for his observations. For the first hour, while strolling lazily along the street, he had Cornelius bump into and even accost a number of people, driving his small, nubby horns into many ankles. After the first hour, with more than a little resistance, Thad halted the goat's assaults and commanded Cornelius to beg and bleat for scraps, leading to a well fed and happy goat. Taking pity on his accomplice, Thad allowed Cornelius to rest, laying curled up and drawing his own small audience. Finishing his nap, Cornelius was then instructed to prance and frolic about.
After a studious four hours of observations, Thaddeus realized to his chagrin, that he had been caught up in the same spectacle he had offered his subjects and spent the majority of his time watching Cornelius' antics rather than the reactions of the people he was intending to watch.
Oh well, tomorrow was another day and he would learn his lesson and leave Cornelius out of it... or not.
