[Alynne Valaris]

The city didn't stop fascinating Alynne. It was an extremely rare sight, even for her, a city that never sleeps or stops. While Greyhawk was indeed somewhat akin to that, it was still a primer city, bound to the natural cycles of mortals.

Here it was different and the Celadrin loved it. She felt that attachment to the immortal part of her heritage, and she thought that some part of her blood almost reacted naturally to the artistic creations and expressions around the Festhall. Probably there was some truth behind of that feeling, after all the Society also had deep connections to Arborea, just like her.

The new member of the Society strolled around, experiencing what the artistic troupes and individuals had to offer to their most varied public around the streets near the Festhall.

Earlier in the day Cyprian had passed through on his semi routine walk through. It is, after all, important to come to know the lay of the land one finds themselves in. That this district spoke to his artistic sensibilities might explain why he slowed his pace to observe. More than frequently he stopped outright, delighting in the various performances.

Eventually he found a himself a nook, put out his tip jar, and began strumming out one of his favorite tunes from his time in the west. 'I think it goes like this...' He thought to himself. Fingers unsure at first, but slowly the rhythm took shape.

As she was looking around, Alynne ended up in the corner where the flamboyantly dressed artist was practiocioning the art. She stopped for a moment to see what this other fellow artist had to offer, as she had done with countless others, in the constant display of artistic expressions around the place.

The elvish-looking woman observed and listened, while her raven was perched on her shoulder, also observing the flamboyant artist's as he played his lute.

Cyprian for his part was thrilled to have an audience. And one with such stunning eyes! He had to make an effort now.

Using his thumbs in between strums he found a way to make the rhythm pop. His eyes danced back to the western coast in his mind as he lost himself in memory. The streets of arch town, the old and foreboding ghost lite forest, the masts of corsairs in the harbor, golden smiles and the smell of flowers. He wove nostalgia into the threads between notes. Then at song's end as he returned to Sigil, but for a brief moment did he betray his contempt at his surroundings. Only to immediately replace the mask of pleasance as he smiled and bowed his head graciously.

"A very good day to you milady!" He beamed charmingly

'' A good day to you as well.'' She slighly nodded with her head. '' Not bad, i may add. You have good skills and a good ear to find the right harmonic tunes'' She complimented the unknown artist's skill.

'' Are you a member of the Society of Sensation?'' She asked to him. '' I have not watched you perform before or saw you around the Civic Festhall, my Lord'' She was slightly curious about him.

"I am rather new in town," he grinned, "only visiting of course. And as such I remain unaffiliated with any of the various guilds. Though I must admit I'm rather curious now. What is the 'Society of Sensation'? The name has a rather... alluring ring to it."

There's an apparent playfulness to him.

"By the way, my name is Cyprian Valdemar Kircheis, at your service milady!" He bows in a way that completes your view of his flamboyance.

'' The Society of Sensation is one of the City's faction which has, through The Lady's permission, the control and duty of Entertainment and culture distribution through out Sigil.'' She explained somewhat to him, she was not the most informed member, afterall she was herself a recent member.

'' Nice meeting you, Lord Kircheis. I'm Alynne Valaris, former Prima Donna of the Guild of Performing Artists in the city of Greyhawk on Oerth, and a sensate of the Society of Sensation.'' She made a slight curtsy to him.

"A privilege milady, truly." He beamed with sincerity, "It's always a delight to meet a fellow bard. And one of such high esteem! Why I'd be delighted to hear you perform sometime. Though I must confess I'm not familiar with either Greyhawk, or Oerth. Though I suspect you're likewise unfamiliar with my home, Zobeck back on Midgard."

'' Oerth is just like any other prime, nothing special to be honest.'' She commented to him. '' Greyhawk is like a very important city-state in that plane, kinda like Sigil, if you can make a vague equivalency.''

''Indeed i have never heard of Midgard nor Zobeck.'' Alynne said. '' Is it a prime plane like Oerth?'' She asked Cyprian.

"No I don't believe so." He guessed, "So far no one I've asked has ever heard of either of them. Which admittedly bodes ill for my return."

He puts his lute away and picks up the tip jar and pack.

"I wonder if you might do me the honor of escorting you for a time my lady? I would love to hear more about the Sensates, as I assume they are the Sigil equivalent of the Bardic guild."

He extends his arm with a courtly flourish.
