[Fyne]

Fyne sits in the large warm bath, with Lirrax swimming around him. He was drawn to this district because of this nice little benefit. He's not the only one there, the bathhouse being relatively popular and currently open to the public for a while, but he's not conversing with anyone at current. He's just watching Lirrax and enjoying the water, with the sound of soft conversations nearby and Ciphers working out elsewhere in the Gymnasium.

Soon the drow is joined by a tall, potentially menacing figure. As he sank into the warm water, the tiefling grumbled. "Would've thought they'd have hot water here. Ah well." He gave a nod to the elf, his forked tongue flickering in and out as he spoke. "I hope I do not intrude on your presence, sir? Was just looking for a hot bath." He let out a sigh, though it wasn't really content. "I guess this will have to do." He glanced towards the dark skinned man. "Gabriel Morningstar, Justice of the Mercykillers."

"They do have hot. It's just... hot, hot. Like demon and red dragon hot," he says, pointing at the other side of the gymnasium.

The Drow was actually quite pale, being a Szarkai. But he definitely had an underdark accent, suggesting his first language is actually undercommon. "I'm Fyne, a mostly confused primer and devotee of Eilistraee."

Lirrax swam a bit in Gabriels direction, sniffing around for a bit before coming back to swim little circles in front of Fyne.

"Ah, I see." He pondered for a moment, before descending further. "Tempting as it sounds, perhaps another day. If you do not begrude me some company, sir? Good to hear you are doing fine." He titled his head. "Elistraee...she is a deity of...moonlight, I believe? An elvish one, if I recall."

"Ish. More a deity of redemption for the drow, but she does also represent things like the moon and dancing. I'm not too familiar with the mercykillers. What's their schtick?"

[Gabriel Morningstar]

"Ah, I see." He nodded. "Redemption of one's own sins, I take it?" He asked curiously, his body radiating off heat in a small radius. "We are responsible for sentencing those deemed guilty. Besides that, we take a great interest in the laws of our city. Laws should e absolute, after all." He raised a hand. "Not all laws are perfect, certainly, but that is why we have legislation, no? A law still must be followed, lest it leads to anarchy, followed by an invasion of bloody demons looking to drag you into the primordial Abyss, after all."

That may have been a small logical leap.

"You would hate Menzoberranzan, I think. They are very laissez faire about enforcing most laws. And their laws are a mess with plenty of loopholes and laws at odds with each other. Ched Nasad is a bit more organized, but much more unlawful."

"Ugh. Sounds like a city that is in dire needs of some proper legislation and enactment." He shuddered. "You are from Ched Nasad then? How'd you come by the city, if I may ask?"

"Well, originally from there. Got myself out courtesy of some Eilistraeans. I ended up joining up with them and then during a mission to Menzo a long story happened but my memory was mostly wiped. But my patron wanted me to come here so I got here a few weeks ago," he explains.

"You're from here? You have the vibe," Fyne asks.

"Well, originally from there. Got myself out courtesy of some Eilistraeans. I ended up joining up with them and then during a mission to Menzo a long story happened but my memory was mostly wiped. But my patron wanted me to come here so I got here a few weeks ago," he explains.

"You're from here? You have the vibe," Fyne asks.

"Ah, been here for a few years, but I'm a native of Avernus." He gave a brief smile. "Battlefield of the Finds, eh?" He let out a sigh. "Been a while since I was home sadly. I'll probably miss Fiendsgiving again." He tilted his head. "What did your patron wish for you to do here, may I ask?"
