(D2 MM and LM, Zero Alehouse) - Daily Feature 2 - Points Zero

Right at daybreak, a bunch of the many madders at the Gatehouse had already started what would prove to be a rather long and lively discussion. First just with a whirr-quip here and there as they did other morning duties, then more invested, the friendly asylum sphere joined in, their never-failing enthused smile ranging from beam to wide grin.

As the day went on, many of the madders started a procession to the Marble District and the Zero Alehouse, where the Bleakers often met, which Feature happily (and maybe without really noticing it) joined.

The discussion as they got into the Alehouse proper was more and more heated, and seemed to be something dealing with why there would even be such a thing as life if there was no point to it.

The monodrone kept quiet (well, whirring quietly) for a long time as they saw the others arguing. After a long while, they tic-tacked louder, beeped as if indicating a wrong answer, then said somewhat loudly.

"But our dear madders, that makes no sense - there is no sense, but there is a point! Many, in fact! See, the counter there - it's a line, or 90% a line! And a line is full of points, and so are all of us! So all of life - and all of non-life - are points! So there's no point to the discussion! But... being is being points!, see?"

Some silence followed. It quickly turned uncomfortable, before everyone around looked at each other and blissfully ignored the point and the silence.
