While the other stand there confused about what it is they are seeing, Amelie recognizes exactly where you are: The City of Brass on the Elemental Plane of Fire.

With all of the fire and lava canals -- Mysti still clung to the idea of this being Hell or the Abyss. The City of Brass was not -- and never was -- on her bucket list of places she had ever wanted to visit. Even if she had been aware of the place.

When Amelie said the words, "Oh ... most curious," Mysti gave her an expectant look. "Do you know where we are, then?"

"The Plane of fire - the City of Brass - the seat of the Efreeti Sultanate. I never thought I'd end up here. I've read of it, however, and it may add some very curious context to our fire in the library."

Naila starts removing her coat and takes a moment to polish her glasses.

"Simply extraordinary. That context is invaluable, and as you say. It would be a curious coincidence indeed to have a secret gate to the plane of fire be completely unrelated to a fire."

The heat was starting to get rather bothersome, (at least for those of you who could feel heat.) You had the choice of wandering the City of Brass aimlessly or attempting to go back the way you came.

Removing her tricorn hat in order to fan her face, the beads of sweat already popping up across her skin, Amelie looked to the others and shouted above the bustle of the burning city.

“I would like to explore some—see if we cannot find out more about this portal. It cannot be that regularly used, and it is possible that someone knows something. I do speak Ignan, though I do not have much on my person that may entice the locals to come off of information.”

But before continuing further, she scanned to make sure that Gabriel and Rufus had successfully made it through as well.

Naila peers around to see if there's any dust or detritus around the gate or if this part of the city seems relatively well travelled.
