Racing Into The Night [D2, EN]

The mongoose-like modron in question tilted their body to one side and the other a few more times, as if trying to get a feeling for what was up with the Illusion. At some point they concluded the same thing as the others and stepped closer to them, happy as always.

"Oi, Mr Goat-legs, careful! There's something pointy dangerously close to your belly!", they suddenly exclaim in a worried voice, which is again countered by giggles.

They then "shrug" (which amounts to wiry arms moving up and down) to the others. Looking at Fyne "Mr Elf-face, you plan to report this to the Hardheads, then?" Looking around at the others. "Ya other folks... not too worried about the Hooded Perv, then?"

The eye sets on where the poor sod's belongings were. There were still the potions lying there... would those just be left behind there?

Their grinning face was probably enough to make the question clear to the others.

[Fyne]

"Don't worry about talking to the hardheads, I'll let them know you have the evidence and they can come to you. They can get your report then," Fyne says with a thumbs up and smirk at the greedy unilateral decision from Thaddeus.

"Come find me later box, we'll talk about it." He sends a little salute Feature's way.

As he flies off into the distance, he calls back behind him in response to Fyne, "Like I said, have fun with that."

"Don't worry about talking to the hardheads, I'll let them know you have the evidence and they can come to you. They can get your report then," Fyne says with a thumbs up and smirk at the greedy unilateral decision from Thaddeus.

"Seems like it's up to us to talk to them Harmonious folks then?", the modron says to Fyne with a giggle. "S'pose we might as well take the poor sod's belongings. Might make them part of the report even. Ah! Our wrongwrong, Elf friend, we guess we never even asked your name!"

[Fyne]

Fyne says, "Yep. But I'm not positive the Satyr wasn't in on it. The way he took the money and ran. So we should definitely report that as well. Should have either been shared among us or turned over as evidence and he took it without any questioning."

[Feature]

The monodrone's arms wiggle-wiggle again in a weird shrug. "Um. Half-half... they didn't seem in on it. But one, we could report that they've got the money. We... take the potions as evidence then?"

[Fyne]

"Yeah, we can turn the potions in. Or give them to someone who needs them? And maybe he wasn't in on it, but he certainly didn't mind profiting off of the murder. And that's certainly not the kind of person I tend to appreciate. Even the goblin didn't want to touch that money. And those two didn't seem overly keen on investigating, So it seems appropriate to just turn it over to the law. Or potentially even use it to hire a private investigator to find justice for the man that it was taken from. A lot of different options, but the worst one is probably keeping a murdered man's money, in my opinion."

[Feature]

Wiggle-wiggle.

"The whole thing seems rather weird and confusing if you ask me. And the hardheads and law...." Wiggle-wiggle and some laughter.

"But one! We do know someone who might help investigate. Might talk to her later, that's a good idea, mr Elf!"

(OOC: Feature did ask Fyne's name above, is he not giving it on purpose? I was gonna assume so, but not sure if it was just overlooked XD)

[Thaddeus]

After Thad had flown off, being ever curious, he sends Cornelius flying back unseen to park his ears and scan for what would happen after his exit.

Listening to the drow and the modron wigwag a bit and hearing they wouldn't necessarily dump the jink, at least not his share of it, with the Hardheads, Thad turns his broom around to settle up. Better to be done with it here and now than to carry a debt.

Thad sweeps in on his broom, coming to a sudden halt in front of the two. He leans forward conspiratorially like he's about to spread some dark, "So... a little birdy told me you might have something better to do with this than make a sodding donation to the Hardheads?" he pulls the pouch of coin off his belt and dangles it in the air.
