I've come here to research this mostly. I wonder if such a thing has ever been a currency or a token of other recognisable purpose somewhere."

The flayer tilts his head before the coin seemingly lifts itself closer to their face, slowly rotating

Illi cracks open her book on slaadi to read, though she idly listens. Her concentration is rarely 100% placed on something. Brain doesn't work like that.

Oh you know this one. This feeling at least. The way your mind bumps against rough edges as it caresses the coin. Like a mine shaft. This thing used to have more to it, more information, more knowledge, great swathes of more history,but someone's excised it. Hacked it sway. Or perhaps eaten it. Judging by the bite marks.

"I bit it." Akh decided to admit, her urge to be truthful winning, especially she'd been the one asking for expertise. "But there isn't much that manifested. Some images of odd half-formed impressions, tall towers, winged things with too many faces, and the feeling of the warmth of salted blood. It didn't feel like anything I could pinpoint, but it felt ancient."
