[Cyprian Kircheis]

A snicker, "You're funny, cute, and a good person. We're not."

He polishes off the beer.

"Not by a long shot. And we know it." He bites the corner of his lip as his eyes drift. Whatever thought he's chewing on he soon gives up on it and exhales. "I need to rest before tonight. Where are you staying? Can I accompany you there?"

He stands up but is a little unsure on his feet for a moment.

Illi blinks, a bit unconvinced, but not wanting to argue; he's trying to be nice, and saying something else, trying to show some kind of vulnerability. "...if you say so, Cypri..." She lays her head on her shoulder to watch him. Annnnd then he almost stumbles on his way up. Drink abandoned, Illiam jumps to her feet too to offer her shoulder to the dhampir. "We're in the Market Ward. Can you walk there? We can crash at the Wayfarer if you need it."

"Ahh, the other side of Sigil, lovely." He laughs. "At least let me escort you safely out of the Hive. You are wounded after all." He regains his bearings on his own. Though he is displaying all the hallmarks of a cheap drunk. Chief among them the belief that he's invincible.

"I actually live here, not far from the Mortuary."

"Then let's go there?" He's in no position to be walking home on his own, and Illi's got enough sense to guess he wants comfort. "C'mon. Lead the way."

"What?!" His eyes bulge, "Umm, that's a very bad idea." It was his turn to be worried.

"..." She gives him a Look. "Why?"

"Well for one thing I live there with my girlfriend. For another we're renting the attic, and the house doesn't belong to either of us. Never mind the impropriety of it all." He rubs his neck. "Again, flattered but I am trying to behave. I was just going to see you safely out of the district."

Still a little worry.

"The neighborhood isn't exactly safe when a person is in the best of condition."

A small smile plays across her lips. "...I wasn't gonna do anything improper with you, Cyprian. I'm not really looking to go fooling around anyway, but, you JUST told me about your girlfriend. You matter to me, so by extension, she matters to me too. It would really hurt her feelings if I did anything with you, ESPECIALLY without us all talking together about it and her consenting to it, which, obviously, has not happened. Which, again, isn't really something I want to do right now. Not that you aren't charming and handsome. You are! I just... wanna find my own love, y'know? And getting in on an already existing couple isn't something I'm looking for now."

She blushes a bit as she remembers the last time that happened. That changeling and that tiefling were lovely to be with but man, was the breakup messy, and Illi still hasn't gotten over them yet anyway...

"I don't mind if we can't of course. Ain't your house and all that. But uh. I'm already here in the Slags, and I come here practically every day. I'm not afraid... especially when I've got a friend around."

There's a genuine sigh of relief, that slowly turns to a smirk, then to a grin, then to a laugh.

"Alright, alright. I get it!" He laughs some more. "I really get it, actually."

"I don't mind if we can't of course. Ain't your house and all that. But uh. I'm already here in the Slags, and I come here practically every day. I'm not afraid... especially when I've got a friend around."

He shakes his head. "I guess you don't need a Knight. Even one as handsome as charming as myself." He smiles jokingly. "But I do get it. I think I even get you now. Now that you're letting me know more of the REAL Illiam'iira."

He leads the way out of the arena.

"Mind if we talk for real? Bard to bard?"

"I mean, I already told you, I've got a friend," She says with a smile. Illi links arms with Cyprian. "We weren't doing that already?" There's a little mischief in her voice now -- she's teasing him. "What you wanna talk about, Cypri?"
