"Seems like an unbalanced trade. Probably better to keep it balanced and return the favor with hints and suggestions if we learn something," he replies, petting Lirrax. "Right, Lirrax?" The little pseudodragon nods in agreement.

Cyprian for his part was thoroughly lost. He'd assumed this whole time they'd been talking about the Kadyx murders. "I thought the murders were linked to this chaotic element. Is that not the case?" He asked Akh. Giving the old man slight regard.

"At this point I assume that while there is a certain co-incidence between Kadyx murders, the blood trail after Rhaunades' death as well as chaotic upheavals, at this point I assume the latter two are interconnected and related to the depredations of a certain tome of forbidden content, while the infernal killer is just using the opportunity."

The being shook his head. "Kadyx has been killing mortals and other creatures since long before any of you were alive. Though, as this smart woman has stated, it could be that Kaydx is simply using the forthcoming chaos for its own sadistic amusement."

"I'm terrible at games of strategy and tactics. But I know someone who loves chess. From what I understand she's quite skilled at it. So if you are looking for a chess partner..." he says, leaving it off there.

Suffice to say, I have no idea where the book is right now, nor do I have any interest in these recent murders by a demon; they're simply things that occur within Sigil. If things go too far out of control, perhaps the Lady will get involved. However, who's to say what a person would do when with that sort of power. So long as it does not disrupt the Balance, it is not my people's concern." He does look down at the drinking and thinks for a moment. "Suppose I do, however, owe you for the top shelf. Very well, the question you should be asking is not 'Why they were murdered', but instead 'Why were they after the book to begin with?' Once you understand motivation and intention, the rest of the pieces should fall into place, including quite possibly, the reason for the murders and the mutilation of their corpses thereafter."
