Sigil: The City of Doors

Cyprian's grin gets wider and wider, eventually showing his fangs as Gizby outs him. "Miss Bria you may ignore him if you wish. He's a rotten friend, and a crude miscreant." He sighs, "Though even I have to complement his leathercraft. Ahh but regarding the matter of returning to Midgard, I may have a lead that I intend to follow up on."

He resists the urge to kick Gizby's high chair and send him flying. But instead pulls his lute around.

"In the interim, shall we proceed with the audition?" He gives Gizby a nasty look, "I have a few songs I'm keen to show off. Maybe if I'm lucky I can even add them to Sigil's proverbial fakebook."

Gizby smiles at the introduction, but then his face sours at her question. "Get...Home? Why would I ever want to do that!? I love this city!" He bursts into boisterous laughter. "So many sucker... er, I mean customers. No Baba Yaga, do you know I've had to look over my shoulder my entire life? I finally feel free here. And not to mention the Dustmen, who share a sentiment with myself that death is beautiful." He smiles broadly, "and I can already tell you're a superior bard than the ones from back home. The ones I know are always chasing dragonborn tail." He side eyes Cyprian, and silently chuckles, his body shaking.

Bria gets really quiet at the compliment and waves him off. "Oh, you're just saying that." She looks at him. "Pleasure, Gizby" She just lifts up her hands and waves modestly. "Oh! Do you know where you came in from, Gizby? If your portal is still there, we may be able to get the both of you home. Assuming we can figure out what you had on you triggered the key."

He bowed to Bria. "I'm delighted to see you again milady. This is a friend of mine from home that seems to have arrived sometime before me." He gives Gizby a wary look, hoping he won't serve as a hindrance. "Allow me to introduce Gizby Brightshadow, Merchant of Neinheim. Gizby this is Bria Tombay: Perhaps the greatest Bard I've ever had the pleasure of meeting."

Taverns tended to not have much of a lunch crowd, but Bria still made the opportunity to come out listen to the poor lost fool play a little bit. He seemed harmless enough, but still her two guardians were around her, keeping a close eye on those who looked suspicious.

Like the two people she was walking to. "Well then, glad you managed to find some shelter, Cyprian. Who's your friend?"

Gizby laughs loudly as he realizes Cyprian is the bard. "I wanted to be entertained, not put to sleep." He laughs some more.

"Of course I still make Gizby's wonderous scum-be-gone soap! I'll have to make you some, just for you!"

He rolled his eyes and smirked. "I'm the Bard Gizby. I'm just waiting for Bria." The stationary just pissed him off more. That damned Gizby and his damned leatherworks. "Oh by the by, are you still making soap from... *ahem* you-know-what? I might stop by to buy some later today, I've been making do with the stuff in the bath houses but it doesn't smell half as good."

Gizby pulled out a piece of fine stationary with his name embossed at the header and wrote down his address for Cyprian. "I look forward to seeing you again." He smiled, then turned to the barkeep, "Where's the bloody bard!?"

"No I-" He shook his head and stared, "-Lady's Ward?! How- no... no. I don't care. And I've... got a place as well." He lied.

He liked Gizby well enough but the last thing he wanted to do was wake up to the smell of tannin or formaldehyde everyday. Naturally he could choose to not breathe, but if he's going to choose to not breathe there are other alternatives that he can think of off-hand.

"At any rate, I think I'll reach out to Mysti myself first. But I can bring her by your place after we talk. What's the address?"

"It's dangerous to go alone, take me with you. We can reunite the troupe!" Gizby looked at the barkeep, then the stage with his hands outstretched and a frustrated look on his face as if to say, where is the entertainment? "Oh, Cyprian, have you found a place to stay yet? I'm in the Lady's ward. It's quite nice."
