Sigil: The City of Doors

Thaddeus procured a private Sensorium and awaited his Factol.

One does not summon their Factol, especially when that Factol was the Darkflame; however, Thaddeus had proven himself as a valued member of the Society and he'd made it abundantly clear that this was an urgent matter concerning the safety and security of the faction.

And then there was the mindflayer who had made quite the sensation the day prior. They were an indept but the matters they were going to discuss concerned all of Sigil.

L'Orr-hui would not witness the end of the universe a second time

The cleanup had already begun after last night's shindig and...explosive finale. You could tell that Darkflame was rather busy, but she did promise to be along shortly, giving you a moment or two to coordinate your questioning inside of the Sensorium before she arrived.

"From my experience, the Factol prefers things direct. With the amount of power, experience, and pure talent she has, I doubt we're goin' to use our wiles to coax a confession out of her or peel the dark from her.

I'm going to lay out what we know so far and then go through the recordin' with her. Any objections?"

''None'' they replied ''Time is of the essence, after all''

With that, there's little other time to plan things when Factol Montgomery enters the room, her consort in tow. She moves in to greet you all "Sorry oi'm a bit behind. Wouldn't believe de amount av things oi 'ad ter chucker de day after dat páirtí" The woman nods and extends her hand to the both of you. "Ah, de mind flayer. Failte ter our sensorium. Oi must say oi enjoyed yer entry, a interestin' experience. 'Av yer considered recordin' de sensashun yer fale whaen yer ayte a brain? 'Tis somethin' ah've been curious aboyt. Notin a morbid way, mind yer, jist not too many opportunities ter record such a tin', on account av yisser kind's tendency ter enslave or ayte us."

With that, she plops herself down in a chair and stares at the two of you. "So waaat do oi owe de pleasure, Thaddeus?"

Thaddeus bows his head to the Factol and her consort when they enter and waits patiently while she addresses his new comrade. Her interest in the flayer was understandable. He'd had some of the same curiosities as she, but hadn't had much time to spare to entertain them.

After she takes her seat and addresses him, Thad responds, "Lady Factol, Consort Da’nanin, thank you for takin' the time to meet with us. So I don't waste your time, I'll ask. Are you aware of a recordin' from the wizard Rhaunades that Shemeshka had been seeking to view and its contents?"

''Lady Montgomery'' The illithid made a light bow ''I am glad you enjoyed the Mind Stone and I must say the previous evening was quite interesting. As to your other question...I do not believe the devouring of cerebrum to be proper for your sensorium. Devouring the thoughts, the memories, the entire self of another is not an experience the mind can handle well.''

With that they let Thaddeus handle the conversation for now

Her concort begins to move, but she raises her hand and shook it. "Aye, oi 'av. not de first person ter ask aboyt it, either, oi 'ear. Shemeshka came by askin' aboyt it a few days ago, but oi outright rejected de request." She nods her head."Normally oi only try ter put me foot down wi' 'er whaen 'e's up ter somethin', but oi wanted ter clap whaat de big dayle wus, An' more importantly, why we 'ad it. So, put it on restrictive access so only we cud git it. Saw it, turns oyt sum serious shoite went down, oi clap. Good sense tald me I shud 'av 'ad de tin' destroyed, but 'tis not me place ter destroy experiences."

She then motions to the L'Orr-Hui and nods her head. "'Tis why oi wud ask for dat sort, mind flayer. gran' or brutal, 'tis our duty as Sensates ter experience things. besides, I'd bloody experience it dat way den gettin' on de brunt end av it, if yer catch me drift." Her grin then turns to curiosity. "Though dat poses de quesshun, 'oy did de two av yer 'ear av it?"
