He cocked his head to the side... and then threw in one of the nicer shirts from the pile, wrapping the bones in it.

"Not too sound with jink, are ya?"

He sounded... almost concerned?

"If it's bones y'want, might be I save you a walk. Where'd y'want 'em delivered? No sense your coming by the Bazaar every day for 'em.""

[Akh Uur Hoon]

"Let's say I am no more concerned with jink than absolutely necessary."

She nodded.

"Thank you for your consideration. The place is Mortuary, and the name is Akh Uur Hoon."

[Ikkit the Bastard]

"Living in this city, every damn copper penny seems absolutely necessary, but please yourself."

He wrote it down on a scrap of paper from one of his many pockets, while the toad- frog?- croaked again.

"You'll have first pick of any I ain't chewin' on or makin' soup with. Steady trade is best."

[Akh Uur Hoon]

"That quite depends on one's priorities. My own observation is that while some jink seems necessary, the general pursuit of it self-perpetuates - you spend more to earn more rather than accept certain austerity as sufficient. On the other hand, to live is to aspire..."

She nodded accepting the paper, and folded it carefully, giving it consideration a proper document deserved. The same treatment had been given to the bone sack, if not greater.

"Your terms are very fair. Thank you."

[Ikkit the Bastard]

"Your payment was most generous. Thank you."

He appeared sincere.

The amphibian's croak perhaps even moreso.

"Until next time." She would give the toad a fly if she had one. Nodding for the last time, she went about her further business.

Ikkit petted Fekt on top of the head with one index finger, and seemed... pleased.

A few of the more usual passersby did double-takes.
