(Pregame - LE) 'Oh no! Not again!'

Cyprian's smile slowly downgraded and shifted as he listened. To summarize he's stuck for now, nothing can be done immediately. There's a sigh before he mutters, "Mysti is going to leave me again."

To Bria's question he admits, "Were I to provide an honest appraisal without references... I'm okay. Meaning good enough for the odd tavern. But sadly I've had less time to devote to my instruments than I'd like." He indicates the afore mentioned blade. "My fortune back home was formed from hardship and extraordinary circumstance. Which granted is fodder for ballad crafting and poetry, but does precious little to fill an artistic void."

Still he considers for a moment the offer.

"That said I'll happily audition if you'd like. In the interim however I should probably become better acquainted with the local dialect. For instance, what is jink, and antipeak?"

"Well, at least you're honest. Still, I'll be the judge if you're canny or not. Maybe pull some work as a minder, if you got the focus for that, instead. But, either way, I stand to gain some potential new material for some balads, Especially from a place I've never heard of." Bria said and pulls out a silver coin from her pouch. "Jink." She motions to the roof of the building. "Antipeak is like...midnight, I think the term is called." Bria looks to the other two for confirmation.

[L'Orr-hui]

''It is'' L'Orr-hui confirmed before turning to the second minstrel ''I have research to do this week. Where you to provide details about your plane I might be able to identify it should I come upon it while I work.''

[Whisper]

"You haven't been outside yet. There really isn't a day and night here. There's just brighter and dimmer." Whisper explained.

'Gold = Jink' He thought, but what Whisper said.

"I... see." He looked towards the door curiously. "And while I'd be happy to give you any and all details about my plane, as well as share my anthology of compositions for a modest 10% of the tips. First, uhh, what's a minder?"

He thinks some more and adds, "I wonder if it might also help- since none of you have heard of Midgard, have you perhaps heard of Barovia?"

Bria looks and smiles. "Someone helps people mind their own business. Mercenary work, bodyguard work, things like that." She raises a eyebrow. "We'll see if they're worth that sort of commission first. Not gonna agree to anything without knowing if it's worth it." Bria then nods her head. "I have, but don't know not much about it. I know it's a Demiplane and it sort of pulls people unwillingly; not like here. Once you go in, it's hard to get out. It's to be avoided, that's for damn sure. Then again, how can you avoid something that pulls you into it?"

She leaves that contemplating. "Don't know if there's a portal to that one, though gods know why you'd want to go to it."

She raises a eyebrow. "We'll see if they're worth that sort of commission first."

He chuckles and raises an eyebrow to match. "At that price I'm practically giving them away!" He boasts playfully. "But hearing that Barovia is known gives me renewed hope. Been there, done that, made it back home without incident. It was a..." his playfulness faltered momentarily before he doubled down with bravado, "an adventure to be sure, now a ballad well written. Ahh but I suppose on occasion I might give- uhh, minding a try while I'm here."

He shrugs.

"Might as well make the best of the experience. See all the seedier elements of the city at work."

He looks to the door still thinking on what Whisper said. "Would you excuse me for a moment. I wish to see this city of yours before we continue."

[Whisper]

"Barovia does sound familiar, actually." he nodded. "I may have come across that name while researching Sildëyuir."

He excuses himself from the group and walks out of ear shot towards the door. Once outside the view is... disorienting, alarming. "My gods, where in the nine hells am I?"

Sometime later he'll make his way back in. "I'm starting to think Barovia was a more manageable plane. At least the ground and sky made sense there." He found his seat and ordered an ale.

"Okay," he nods towards L'Orr-hui, "anything you want to know about Midgard, I'll tell you. It's a plane bordered by the great serpent Ouroborus. There are four seasons divided into twelve months. I might be able to draw a map of the major cities, forests, wastes, oceans, and mountains."

[L'Orr-hui]

''Any information you might recall could be of use...you could also let me probe your mind, if you do not fear such an intrusion.''

Taking that opportunity the flayer produce some paper work from theirs robes, a reproduction of Tensar's recommendation form, and put it on the table

''Lady Tomay, could I bother you about a letter of recommendation for Tensar's agency when you have the time?''
