Sigil: The City of Doors

Usually, Akh was no hurry in her self-driven studies, but her new interests emerging in circumstances when she might be giving up some library time encouraged a measure of haste. With a pile of books collected from shelves, she was looking for a free lectern.

Illiam'iira's finally found the library she's been looking for... she looks like the happiest girl in the world... a literal halo of rainbow colors crowning her head as she stands in awe of all the books. What to research first? Or maybe she should just explore and see what all is on offer? So... many... options...

The benefit of telekenesis is that you did not need to hold the works you needed to consult and thus risk degrading them. The unorthodox mindflayer was moving through the alleys with two books and one thick parchment floating around their staff, obviously looking for more.

Having found a place to deposit what she carried, Akh started with making bibliographical notes in her notebook. She also sported some scholarly magical facilitations; she wrote with her fingertip.

The glowing sigils would have been enough to catch the illithid's enough but anyone writing with their fingertips was...unique.

Illi pauses a moment to look at the two before starting to look over the tomes nearby... slaadi... slaadi... she should probably look those up first... is important...

Unfortunately she has no idea how any of this is organized. Unfamiliar library, unfamiliar order.

Good afternoon, L'Orr-hui. She thought back, having already got a bit used to this being an optimal way of communicating with the mind flayer. She couldn't help but wonder if the communication was the same were she to use other languages for thinking, including perhaps some the Illithid didn't know. Researching something, I presume?

She noticed the haphazardly perusing Drow, but couldn't fully tell if this was madness or method.
