Sigil: The City of Doors

In the gloomy shadow of the eaves of once upon a tavern, Akh Uur Hoon was waiting for the rest of the expedition into the Abyss. Before they would set off, she would share key information with them about the place they were going into.

Cyprian had taken the time to buy two health potions, just in case. He'd also purchased some cheap vials of blood and some cold weather gear for himself (and Akh if she needed it).

[OOC: Ikkit will not break cover unless Illi turns up, since he's only going along to keep her from getting herself killed and still thinks the entire trip is a terrible idea]

Illi will scamper in, Quev in tow, a few new instruments in hand. "Sorry sorry sorry," She'll squeak out. "I'm ready! Just let me cast some spells before we cross over!"

Quev has purchased some cold weather gear and now has fur sticking out of his armour. Snug. Also a climber's kit and 100 extra feet of rope. He doesn't know why, he just felt compelled to.

"I'm glad you could make it," Cyprian said glumly to Illiam, Quev, and presumably Ikkit in the thicket.

The portal to the 348th layer of the Abyss lay before you. The archway. With it's cobwebs and it's runes. It almost seemes like an art piece, a decoration, with it's outlandish pompousness. The darkness beyond it, seems almost malignant, with you holding the key now.

"This is a fuckin' horrible idea, y'know."

Ikkit broke cover by breaking his silence.

He appeared to have.... layered a few more clothes on than usual, the result making him look a bit less scrawny than usual.

"A glass bottle is a portal key here." Akh presented one, then ever so carefully entered the inn. "It is a forbiddingly cold place, the Fortress of Indifference is its central landmark and this is where we're most likely going. The corpses of dead and undead are hewn into the fabric of the fortification but I think I can offer you all protection against the latter as long as you're all close. Please ask questions if there is still something to discuss."
