He laughs, "Yes, I imagine it might be handy in an ambush or a last stand. Otherwise the weapon is far too unpredictable for its own good."

He hands the weapon back to her and nods, "Of course. And I promise to behave this time... unless told to do otherwise." He winks mischievously. "Shall we?"

she nodded, reluctantly taking the wand back, mostly for safekeeping. "This may have been another victim of the Kadyx."

She led them from the library toward the vaults.

"Hmm," he turned serious, "I know a trick or two that might help. I can play a song of empowerment to aid you when the time comes. I also know a song of enhancement that may or may not be needed."

"I am not used to being inspired by songs for dealing with the dead, but I'll trust you on that." She nodded with a small smile. "One can hope the dead themselves won't become too reinvigorated by your spirited renditions?"

"You are the only dead I like to invigorate." He teased. "I just learned this spell too! So I'm definitely looking forward to trying it out!"

The preparing room for the remains is sparse, populated by a number of other table with other remains on them, as well as cabinets filled with the general tools of the trade.

Hiram "Fellmood" Ost, or what's left of him, lies on the slab. He's garbed on rusted chainmail and plate, just the sort of second hand thrift many ne'erdowells have to make do with. There's a large ragged gash where his heart used to be, and a straight line next to it, probably where he was pierced with that sword of his.

Cyprian was paying slightly more attention. But only slightly. Perhaps he and Akh shouldn't dive dungeons alone as they clearly distract one-another.
