Racing Into The Night [D2, EN]

Running thru the streets was never easy. No lights beyond what the passing Lightboys could offer. Less eyes on the area. Running made him a bigger target, but from what was hunting him, no doubt he already was. His movement was like the wind, his mind focused on the Expeditious Retreat effects, while also remembering the way to get thru here. Passing thru the Night Market, rushing thru the stalls, and making it to the home finish.

Finally, the home stretch. The long walk to death. Although it wasn't meant for him.

((Scene is open to the first 4 PCs. No need for a Hive roll for this. Also, go ahead and roll initiative.))

Ikkit had been enjoying a nice, happy root-around in the local detritus when he heard someone.

Someone in a hurry...

[As a Gloom Stalker out of the light, currently invisible to anyone using Darkvision to see]

Suicide Alley could be a very interesting place at night. From the vantage point atop his Broom of Flying, Thaddeus flitted about overhead hoping to find a bit of excitement for the night, Cornelius standing proudly on the end of the broomstick like a general looking for a new land to conquer.

There seemed to be some noise out on the streets... well, there always was there, really. But there was something more than the cackles and wails, and it didn't quite sound like the more usual rants of berks who couldn't find fun without meaning...

...maybe it was something relevant? Unlikely... maybe something interesting, at least? 70% there... but that was more than enough!

(OOC: Any chance we could walk into the scene while hidden/ on Stealth?)

Fyne wanted to give the alley another look, so here he was... right in the middle of some trouble!

((Can you justify casually sneaking about the Madhouse District at night for no reason? If you can, roll it, if not, no. Also, everyone roll init to get that out of the way))

((OOC: I had figured we would have seen/noticed something, then walked in - in that case it would make sense. Otherwise... well, the only thing I got is that Feature is from the area and sometimes has to do stuff quietly, but thar may not be enough! Your call really I guess! :) I'll roll both to take that out of the way and we go with whatever makes the most sense, hidden or not!))

D2 EN - Init | 1d20+5 ⇒ 21

D2 EN - Stealth (if it makes sense) | 1d20+13 ⇒ 17

[Technical issues, this phone hates Orokos almost as much as Orokos hates Ikkit on this roll-Initiative: 1d20+7 9]

For whatever reason you find yourselves out into the evening (perhaps enjoying the Night Market), the noises from the near straight shot lead you to wander from your positions to the alley itself. stands before you in a corner between two buildings. The figure itself seems nondescript standing over a lifeless body sprawled on the ground. He appears ordinary at first glance, his features blending seamlessly into the bustling anonymity of Sigil's Hive Ward. His attire is nondescript, like that of any other common denizen, yet there's an air of intrigue about him that draws the attention of passersby.

What lies below him, however, was also not uncommon sight in the Hive Ward. A young human man laid dead with several arrows in his back, the scorch marks of magic blasts surrounding the area while the figure laid over him. He leaned over the man with a knife in one hand against the poor bastard's jaw, slowly removing it from its person. His hands were stained with blood, as was the knife he was holding.

"No business of yours, berks." He says while he continues his work to slowly removing the jaw from the corpse, not really looking at any of you who decide to get close. "Don't try to make me think otherwise."
