OOC: The logic makes sense, but with Illiam's passive insight, how much does "Larry" buy what she's saying? Is she hiding or obscuring or avoiding anything with what she's telling Whisper and Dare Shah?

...she doesn't get any sense they're being lead on.

"I'm not asking for the nihilist answer that everything eventually returns to dust and nothing matters in the end. I'm asking about what happened to the potentially dangerous stuff that was looted from the chaotic pests and during the mess caused by their actions yesterday."

"I don't think that's what she meant, Lady Shah," Illi pipes up gingerly. "I think what miss Larissa is saying, is, uhm -- forgive me if I'm putting words in your mouth -- these items are literally created from nothing but chaostuff and intentional thought, and most likely return to the nothing from whence they came once they're cut off from their creators and forgotten about? Is that correct?" She looks between the two with a little worry. If that's the case, it would make sense most would disappear shortly after such an event; few have the pure power to create something from nothing permanently, let alone a creation with tangible magical properties, like wands of magic missile or snake staves or sunswords.

"Oh, I like you." She says with a pointed smile as her skin begins to shift over into Illi and stares at Dare before continuing. "Well, not intentional thought. They're not Signers, Lady Shah. I don't even know if there's a intentional thought in a Chaosman's body, but as she said, made from whole cloth or randomness puts it in their hands when they need it. There's not enough whiskey in this Caged City to make me understand how a Xaosists ability works. It just works when it wants to and doesn't when it doesn't want to. So, likely whatever it is they got their hands on they just stumbled across for their own benefit."

Her eyes shift over to Illiam'iira and gives a large wink. "What do you think, did I do a good job with this? I've only watched you dance a few times, so it may be off a little."

"Their ability is interesting. I wonder if someone could take advantage of it." Whisper took a moment to compare the two identical drow. "If one could somehow trigger it in several chaosmen at the same time, and had a way to acquire and preserve the items that came from such an event."

[Illiam'iira]

"What do you think, did I do a good job with this? I've only watched you dance a few times, so it may be off a little."

It's not actually the first time someone's done this to Illiam'iira, and knowing her luck, it probably won't be the last. Would be a lot more effective if it had been. Unfortunately she seems really too into this topic to be flustered by something unrelated. "My guess," She says very softly, "If it's not intentional, then it's Chaos itself enacting its will upon reality... which makes sense..." With a little hum, Illi taps her chin. "Order and Chaos are both rather active forces in the multiverse. If it's an act of Chaos, then Order likely rushes in to return the equilibrium of reality, thus either returning the items to their rightful place or simply returning them to nothingness."

There's a little hm as she considers her own predicament.

"It's good," She finally answers Larissa with a smile. "You a changeling? If that's an improper term, my apologies."

"That's just how I understand it. I'm sure they can explain it better...or worse. Hurts my head to understand the whole damn thing." She placed her head on her temple and started to rub it to hit the point home. She smiled.

"Yeah, Changeling will do. I'm not too hurt about the term and being one in a place like this pays the bills."

"Yeah, I can imagine." Illi giggles. Get your money, girl!

[Dare Shah]

"Chaos is the fire in which you melt a plowshare so you can forge it into a sword. A brand of chaos that's only hot enough to turn the metal slightly red before it quickly cools down to room temperature is honestly pathetic.

Assuming most of the mayhem people equipment is as ephemeral as their vision is limited, what about the items we did find? Someone with more money than magical ability just paid to imitate their particular brand of abilities?"

[Flession]

She listens to the metaphor and nods her head. "No argument here. Whish the lot would just go back to Xaos or Limbo and save us all the hassle." With that, she transforms back to her pink self.

"Stole it from somewhere, my guess. Or maybe it belonged to whomever lost it. Can't tell you for sure. All I can tell you is that they didn't get it from me. You can always go bother that 'friendly fiend' to see if he has any information, but I make my money by getting hard to get things and showing off mine or someone else's naked body. Supplying Chasomen with goods ain't a way to make a living for any poor sod in this city."
