Gabriel was followed by Rufus as he walked the walk, asking everyone about the duel among magic users.

"A veritable orgy of pyrotechnics, you say?" He asked, then let out a sigh. Who knew such vocabulary was common here? "Anything else you can say? Oh, there was also smoke. Thank you for your help sir!"

A drow girl stops walking mid-stride to peek at Rufus from behind a corner. She stares with wide eyes, wiggling a little as she does. Oh... if only she didn't need to go work... maybe she could... say hi... to the doggies...

Gabriel finished his current interrogation woth an exasparated sigh, but duly made a note about...loitering youth. Rufus noticed the drow, his four beady eyes focusing on her....and tail waggling.

"What is it boy?"

Illiam almost retreats... almost... but she can't help it... that's TWO dogs!!! Together!!! She's never seen a two-headed hellhound before!!!

"Uhm..." Illi waves at Rufus, trying to figure out how to say 'are you good boys?' in Infernal. Unfortunately her working knowledge of Infernal extends to verbal commands and praise for single-headed hellhounds.

...just ask, Illia. Their owner surely knows.

She creeps from her hiding spot to gingerly wave at Gabriel before pointing to Rufus. "Uhm, what's his name?"

"Oh? Rufus" Gabriel replied with a smile. "He's an aosian hound" He knelt down next to the dog. "Sit, Rufus." The dog did so, his tail wagging with excitement.

"Oh! I thought --" She leans forward a little, gingerly offering her hand for Rufus to sniff. "I thought perhaps a breed of hellhound? I've never, uhm, seen one before, 'til now..." Illi wiggles again as she does her best to give Rufus space if he needs it.

"Ah, from my understanding, his kind might be a native of the outlands. He is similar to a hellhound, though more majestic, I would say." He smiled fondly at Rufus. "Boy...not everyone has sweets ready. Please stop pleading."

Oh, so lawful, and sentient. She nods with understanding before carefully petting Rufus.

The little drow grins. "But I do!" She stands up straight to pull a little candy from her pocket. "He probably can't have this though, right?"

Gabriel shrugged. "I try to trust him with his own diet, most of the time. A little piece can't hurt, a little piece." He winked at her.

"First time around Sigil?"

"Yep!" The candy's unwrapped and she carefully feeds it to Rufus. A second piece is produced so both heads get a leetol treat. (It's your usual hard candy, nothing too special 'bout it.) "You a Sigil native?"
