[Gizby Brightshadow]

"Oh, Cyrpian," Gizby's expression turns solemn, "I know you two were very close." His eyes light up as if he's had an idea, "Wait, I saw an add for an adventurer for hire with Mysti's name on it! I just assumed it must be a different Mysti. Maybe..." Gizby looked into the distance, not focusing on anything as if doing calculations within his head. "If you saw me at The Bear a couple days ago, but you only just arrived... and I've been here six months, and the doorway was somehow connected to Midgard, and The City of Doors has people from all sorts of worlds... and..." Gizby's mental math trailed through rambling run on sentences and thought experiments for several minutes before he concluded, "Maybe she's been here all along!"

He blinks.

"What?" He shakes his head. "No, that's impossible." Still hung up on the initial time dilation he sits in a panic for sometime before he jumps up. "Wait! You mean you think she came through after us? And she's been here for... longer?"

He looks around for a bulletin board or one of the newspapers he's seen a few times.

"Possibly. Or after me, but before you. Or she came through years after you. There are so many 'ifs' and 'ands' and 'hows' to know anything for sure without talking to her." Gizby shrugs, "And there's still the possibility that it is just another person with the same name. I knew another Gizby once. He was 4'0, thought he was a big tough guy." Gizby spits a piece of chewy fat out, "jerk."

Gizby looks to the stage, and back at Cyrpian. "Something must have happened to the talent, there's usually live music at this hour."

He scoffed, "One of you is more than enough. And I have an audition I must get to. But first I need to know if Sigil's own Mysti is indeed Mysti Ghostshadow."

He'd found an unoccupied S.I.G.I.S to scroll through. While he did he looked towards the door and put the paper down. Sure enough there was a bulletin board with various posters on it. One sign in particular read:

"Buried Treasure? Ancient Ruins? Mazes and Labyrinths? Crumbling Tombs? Does Your Village Need Defending? Should you and your group of intepid explorers need assistance in navigating such places in relative safety, contact "Mysti" at the Liberty Hall Tavern in the Lady's Ward. Or leave a message with the doorman at the Golden Bariaur Inn. Mysti will happily join your party of adventurers in exchange for a fair share of the findings ..."

"Well fuck... it's spelled the same. Even reads like her. But no picture." He shows the flyer to Gizby. I have a way to find her at least."

"It's dangerous to go alone, take me with you. We can reunite the troupe!" Gizby looked at the barkeep, then the stage with his hands outstretched and a frustrated look on his face as if to say, where is the entertainment? "Oh, Cyprian, have you found a place to stay yet? I'm in the Lady's ward. It's quite nice."

"No I-" He shook his head and stared, "-Lady's Ward?! How- no... no. I don't care. And I've... got a place as well." He lied.

He liked Gizby well enough but the last thing he wanted to do was wake up to the smell of tannin or formaldehyde everyday. Naturally he could choose to not breathe, but if he's going to choose to not breathe there are other alternatives that he can think of off-hand.

"At any rate, I think I'll reach out to Mysti myself first. But I can bring her by your place after we talk. What's the address?"

Gizby pulled out a piece of fine stationary with his name embossed at the header and wrote down his address for Cyprian. "I look forward to seeing you again." He smiled, then turned to the barkeep, "Where's the bloody bard!?"

[Cyprian Kircheis]

He rolled his eyes and smirked. "I'm the Bard Gizby. I'm just waiting for Bria." The stationary just pissed him off more. That damned Gizby and his damned leatherworks. "Oh by the by, are you still making soap from... *ahem* you-know-what? I might stop by to buy some later today, I've been making do with the stuff in the bath houses but it doesn't smell half as good."

'He mentioned Akh before,' Cyprian got to thinking, 'but there's no way those two hit it off. They're polar opposites. Him being in her guild no doubt means...' His face went ashen, '...oh Gods.'

"Actually forget I asked."

Gizby laughs loudly as he realizes Cyprian is the bard. "I wanted to be entertained, not put to sleep." He laughs some more.

"Of course I still make Gizby's wonderous scum-be-gone soap! I'll have to make you some, just for you!"

Taverns tended to not have much of a lunch crowd, but Bria still made the opportunity to come out listen to the poor lost fool play a little bit. He seemed harmless enough, but still her two guardians were around her, keeping a close eye on those who looked suspicious.

Like the two people she was walking to. "Well then, glad you managed to find some shelter, Cyprian. Who's your friend?"
