Lirrax looks at Illiam'iira and says, in Fyne's voice, while he's taking a sip from the wineskin, "Well, not all familiars. Some warlocks have particularly strong connections with unique abilities between them and their familiar." He passes the wineskin back and starts talking with his own mouth again. "I did a few runs back after I first got out of Ched Nasad. I got up for runs during my time in the underdark, but they were short because we had a mission to take care of."

"Mmhmm," Illi purrs. "Faeriira is pretty weird, though. She can talk... she just pretends she can't... like Quev..." And her expression sours at the memory. She spent three years thinking Quev was totally mute, the bastard! The grumpiness doesn't last long though -- there's bigger rats to fry.

"...did you get to dance enough?" The question is posed tentatively; hopefully the fear doesn't seep into her voice. Hopefully.

His answer makes her feel lighter, and Illiam'iira nods, grinning. "I'd love that! Please!" She stretches a bit before picking up her lap harp and setting it by Fyne's dulcimer. "I'm glad you're feeling better." Standing, she offers her hand to Fyne, again shifting from playful to something a bit more mature. "Do you have a specific dance in mind?"

"You know, I did the Changedance back in the day. I was a Reverent before my patron did whatever they did to me, cutting me off from the Dark Maiden's divine touch. I don't know if you have the magic for it, but I'd still like to do the dance itself even if not."

He thinks back on his training wistfully as he rose to join Illiam'iira.

"I don't --" Illi considers her next words very carefully. "We could do just a dance here, but if I did it in the temple... it would actually work. Temples are always where my connection to Her is the strongest."

"I may do so some other time then. For now, a simple dance of worship will do I think," he says with a smile.

He rises and offers a bow to her before starting to sing a common song of worship and dancing to it. He definitely has a very nice voice, but it's clear he doesn't have the training. If he did train it would likely be even nicer.

Training is less important than the spirit of it -- while beautiful singing is a treasure, so is communal singing; they are Eilistraeens, after all, and their power is in the unity of their voices. And she's so, so happy to have found Fyne here. In this moment he is family.

Illiam follows Fyne, bowing back before beginning to sing and dance with him. Her dancing is playful and childish, all prancing and twirling and holding hands. She wants their joy to be as one. Even as her throat aches she sings loud and proud -- who cares if her voice cracks, who cares for beauty when something's being shared?

She doesn't realize her brow bears a silvery moon.

As the song and dance winds down the symbol begins to fade. Silvery moths flutter around them both, and her gaze turns to them, Illi almost tripping over her own feet as she does. "Oop!" Fortunately she catches herself with a laugh. "Sorry!"

[Fyne]

Fyne participates and follows along with the dance. He isn't the most graceful dancer, but he's certainly not fumbling. Just someone with a bit of natural rhythm and some enthusiasm. Fyne seems to be very comfortable with dancing with Illiam'iira, and it feels a bit like being back home.

She squeaks and quickly covers it. "Oh, uh--" Illi laughs. "Thanks." The woman relaxes. Her other hand gently touches his arm. "Do you feel a little better?"
