She chuckled a little at what the fellow was saying, figuring he must not fully know what Carbuncle was. "Oh, I very much doubt this little fella would end up biting it in Limbo. S'ides, even if he did I'm not sure he'd really care. They're... well... they're odd little creatures, you see. All they care about is being entertained. They'll literally kill themselves if they aren't entertained for a while. So, I figure I might as well take it along to places that might be entertaining. Limbo might be dangerous, but I can't imagine it not being entertaining at the same time."

She shrugged. "But yes. Slaadi. They're a thing, apparently."

[Thaddeus]

"Ah, clever little fellow than. I know quite a few Sensates that act the same way. He would fit in well in Arborea. Or even better, we could take him to the Sensorium. There is no end to the entertainment available amongst the recordings.

Cyprian listens to the exchange after going back to his drink. 'A carbuncle sounds like a good pet to have.' He thought, 'An animal that would be fun to play with, show off to women, and once it kills itself he'd know it's time to go on an adventure! Gizby could from there skin and sell it, possibly even dry the meat to sell it later!'

He chuckled to himself.

'Oh I can see it now. Carbuncle Jerky! I could even write a song to promote it... 'Carbuncle Funkle'! I could write it as a 12 bar Kobald blues.'

"Oh! That reminds me, I was going to check out the Sensates. I understand they're sort of a bardic guild here no?"

"Well, 'tis true we have our fair share of troubadours, but it's much more than just a gathering of musicians. We appreciate all the wonderful sensations our existence has to offer. It's very easy to join, you just need to go to the Festhall and offer five of your own experiences to be added to our collection of recordings.

I find the offerings of the society to be quite acceptable. More about the here and the now than worrying so much about after you're a deader.

Plus, they've got some decent kip if you're lookin. Stay there myself."

"Oh! Oh! I went there!" Illiam furiously waves an arm back and forth like an excited child who wants to get picked for something. "The people there were very nice! They wanted a recording of my singing." She giggles.

She chuckled at that invitation, which was better offered to the others than to her. "Actually I contemplated joining the Sensates a few years back. Used to play a fair bit 'round the festhall. But thank you kindly, I'm a Godsmen true and through."

Hells, she did more than play a fair bit there, she was damn near a regular, having grown up around there. Still, playing's one thing, philosophy's quite another.

"And sure 'nough, did consider Arborea too. Might end up being a better place for him, who knows."

"Oh... well... you gonna show him a party 'fore he goes, at least?" Illi looks a little hopeful. "I could dance with him ifhe'dlike."

He nods at the offer but turns his head curiously at Sings. "Godsmen huh? I haven't heard about them yet."

He continues, "Well I certainly appreciate the offer, and in all honesty I'm considering it. But I rather enjoy remaining unaffiliated." He muses, "Still, the chance to perform with gifted musicians is always thrilling! I'm rather hoping there's a chance for collaboration in the near future. Such as a play, or a concert. I'd really like to showcase some of my own works in time."

He grins at Illiam who continues to be absolutely adorable.

"Believers of the Source, the godsmen, that's us," she said with a nod, "We hold that the multiverse is like a great big forge, you see, and each lifetime we spend in it is simply part of a journey to something greater and better as we learn life's lessons. And when we've all learned the lessons, and the last berk and basher moves on up the last rung of the ladder, we turn off the light and the multiverse ends, having fulfilled its purpose."
