Day 3 EM: It's about time

[Flession]

A few priestesses see you both talking and one leaves into the sacristy while the other begins to place down a incense burner.

[L'Orr-hui]

''Perhaps. Have the herbs helped?'' The illithid contiues on ''I believe they are expecting us now''

[Fyne]

"I haven't had the chance to pick them up. Im going to grab some tonight." He looks at the temple folks and nods, "Seems that way. Do we... sit down or something? They haven't said anything yet."

[Flession]

At last, a young woman and the older man from before come out from the sacristy, the old man walking towards you two with the priestess in tow. "Ahh, you have come. And this is the wayward elf you had mentioned before? Welcome to our temple. I hope what will happen to you today will lead you to your fate."





The priestess nods and begins to grab the incense hanging that was left hanging from before and begins to rock it back and forth from the alter and in front of the large statue of Istus. "She will shortly begin to prepare the holy water for a commune with our goddess. There is, of course, no guarantee that she will respond, as she often does not, but if it is as you say, there could be a chance that this situation would interest her, being this is her domain. Are you familiar with the ritual we are about to preform?"

[Fyne]

"I'm not familiar with the ritual. And I definitely understand if a goddess I never worshipped before doesn't want to talk to me she doesn't have to. I thank you for the opportunity anyway. I appreciate the consideration all the same. I also know I'll be communing with something that could make me never have existed in the first place, so I'll definitely try not to give a reason to do that," Fyne says, joking about his erasure from the timeline.

[Flession]

He stifles back a smile at his comment. "Rest assured, that even if that were the case, the Lady prevents any direct involvement within these city walls. So, if we find that out to be the case, I would cancel any plans of leaving the city anytime soon. Especially in the Outlands, where her domain is."

There is a long pause at his comment. "But the ceremony is a Commune. If our goddess wishes to speak, she will grant us at least three questions. Ponder what you want those questions to be before we begin."

[L'Orr-hui]

The flayed had nodded to the old man and the priestess when they had arrived.

''Do you have an idea about your questions?''

[Fyne]

Nodding appreciatively at the man and priestess, he turns to his companion.

"Do you have any suggestions? I was thinking about asking about the nature of my patron, especially since I don't remember striking a bargain with them. Might give insight into how to communicate with them?" he says to the illithid.

[L'Orr-hui]

''An interesting first question indeed.'' L'Orr-hui admitted ''The third question should depend on the two others. Either to clarify or get a direction.''

[Fyne]

"So the second should be tangentially connected and the third tie them together to create an arrow pointing to a used path? I can't ask them to do anything for me probably, like unlocking those memories. That would likely be a power trying to use their abilities on someone in the city and not work. Maybe ask her just how much I was made to forget giving me a sense for how much I may have experienced and potentially what I stand to gain by getting the memories back?"
