(Day 3, EE, Renown) A Little Free Time

[Whisper]

"There's nothing more valuable." He glanced towards the bar. "It can be hard to find, but I can help you with that. It's hard. Even if we are not controlled or oppressed by others, we are often dependant on what they can provide us. In the wilderness, with no one to interfere with your existence, it's easier. Within the confines of society, however, everyone has expectations regarding what you should do and what you should be. Living on your own terms can be difficult without help. That's what the Free League does. We help each other remain independent. And, we help those who need freedom."

[Makeshift]

The suit of armor is still again. If you really listen, you think you could hear the gears turn. Then it nods it's hollow head and scribbles something else on the napkin.

"Freedom = Alone?
Freedom = Nothing?
Freedom = Stillness?"

Again, the head tilts.

[Whisper]

"No." he shook his head. "It can mean those things, if those are what you want. Freedom means choice. For better or worse, your fate is determined by your choices, not by what others choose for you."

[Makeshift]

The suit processes this. Then, with strange hesitation, it's gauntlet flies over a new napkin. He hand the napkin to Whisper, then leans forward and takes off it's head. It points down it's gullet, where you can see heaps and heaps of pieces of paper with writing on them.

The note reads,

"Be free."

[Whisper]

"Just you? Or, are there others?" he asked.

[Makeshift]

The suit places it's head back on it's shoulders. It shakes it's head and then points to itself, it's forefinger making a clanking noise as it hits it's chest.

[Whisper]

"I will help you." he nodded. "Do they have a way of knowing where you are? Or, controlling you?"

[Makeshift]

The suit seems to stare at you, then it takes off it's head and reaches in again. It pulls out another note and gives it to Whisper.

This reads,

"Slay my father and install me, Prince Gienor, as the rightful ruler of Mithandil."

The suit shrugs and nods at the note.

[Whisper]

"Oh." He looked over the note a couple of times. "And, here I thought I was just helping you slip away. Are you the Prince, then? Or, are you his messenger? Either way, I'm going to need to hear the whole story, to be helpful. Regardless, if the guys at the bar are a problem, we should probably lose them."

[Makeshift]

The suit shakes his head again, and pulls out another note, giving it to Whisper.

This one reads,

"Slay my brother and install me, Princess Hiemon, as the rightful ruler of Mithandil."

Then the armor points at itself repeatedly and mimes a sword in it's hands.

Then it points behind him at the excited Guvners and gives a thumbs up.
