Perhaps...it is you choice, Fyne. You must make the choices as the matter is the most important to you

[Fyne]

"So, first, what is the nature of my patron. Second, for what reasons were my memories made unavailable. That's should point me to it's motivations. Third, what means are there to regain access to those lost memories? I'm asking because I am no great master of logic or puzzles, and I suspect you would be better at investigating such things, so if you have better ways or questions to ask, I'd be open to suggestions."

''I am flattered but in these kind of matters I prefer to differ to the main actor as it is proper.'' the illithid replied ''Should this communion not work I have another lead.''

[Fyne]

He stifles back a smile at his comment. "Rest assured, that even if that were the case, the Lady prevents any direct involvement within these city walls. So, if we find that out to be the case, I would cancel any plans of leaving the city anytime soon. Especially in the Outlands, where her domain is."

There is a long pause at his comment. "But the ceremony is a Commune. If our goddess wishes to speak, she will grant us at least three questions. Ponder what you want those questions to be before we begin."

He nods to L'Orr-hui and then looks to the priestess and man. "Alright, lets give this a go then."

[Flession]

The priest nods and motions to the priestess.

"I cannot guarantee your answers, only hope that our goddess may help you meet your proper fate. Let us begin."

The priestess begins her hands, chanting and praying and a beam of light shines upon the statue, stunning the two clergy. "She has made contact. Ask your questions!"

[Fyne]

"Great Istus, I would appreciate it if you shared with me. First, what is the nature of the being that is my patron that grants me my powers? Second, for what purpose have my memories been made unavailable to me from the time between meeting my patron up to waking up a few months ago? Third, what means are available to recovering those memories? Thank you for your consideration."

[Flession]

The priestess looks on as a voice enters all of your minds. "The nature of your patron's enigma is a reflection of the intricate balance between choices and inevitabilities." As the second question, there is silence for a moment before a voice speaks again. "Your mind, now a blank canvas, offered the potential for new allegiances and a clearer channel through which its desires and intentions could flow." A third moment comes the light growing ever brighter. "Seek its heart in the Demiplane of Time to sever the bond."

With that, the light fades away, leaving the room darker than it was before.
