A breathy chuckle comes from Amelie’s throat, watching Illi heat her tea.
“Ever helpful.”

She nods as Illiam skips up and goes to get tea and, of course, cookies. Upon her return, Amelie responds.
“Some documents about an investigation. Nothing classified, really, just some interesting details. I’m trying to make some sense of it. It’s largely a report from one Akh Uur Hoon detailing a body and accompanying memories. Strange thing. It was burnt to a crisp and had no jaw.”

Illiam'iira blinks. "Oh. Uhm. The jaw thing isn't strange. That makes resurrection and communication more difficult. Can't talk without a jaw, even if someone raises you. Costs a lot to fix that so most people won't bother. Whoever did that really didn't want anyone finding out about their identity, or... well... whatever else their victim knows."

“Mhmmm. That is not the unusual part, but it does make figuring it out that much more challenging. At any rate, I do not know how much I’m allowed to speak of it in a public place. Tell you what—in the morning I will be heading to the Harmonium HQ to get some information on it. Would you care to accompany me?”

"Oh, I'd love to!" Illi grins. "We haven't had a girl's day out in too long! Though, uhm," Her voice softens, "I know it's business. But still!"

Amelie sits back, letting her back relax against her seat as she sets down her papers, closing their folder. She wraps two fingers around the handle of her teacup and hoists it to her chin, breathing in now-heated steam deeply.

"Strange place, but nice to see a friend."
