It's not comfortable to look at, and honestly, Illiam would rather be anywhere but here in the moment, but she follows the trail diligently nonetheless. She's no stranger to blood. Nobody in the Hive is, probably.

The end of the alleyway is barren. Sigil's shifting architecture has seen fit to bless this part of the Hive with a mazelike build. At the end of the alleyway there's only trash and detritus, a small pool of blood, from which the trail leads out and to the mindless orc. Presumably the murderer grabbed the orc while he was passing by and did what they did. Clues aren't forthcoming.

Following on Illiam's tracks, Feature looks at the pool of blood, the alleyway, the pool of blood again, the exit on their backs towards where the mindless orc was found...

Was there no other way someone could have gone other than out? Windows, something?

"Hm..." Illi looks up, too, wanting to see how high roofs and any windows are.

OOC questions:
Did the laughter they heard earlier, when the orc collapsed, come from this general direction, or was it close by, or another thing?
Are there any tracks in the blood?
Does Illiam hear anything besides her and Feature?

There are a lot of Windows in the buildings surrounding you, no sign of impact on the ground however.

The laughter came from this general direction.

Just the orc's footprints in the blood.

You hear the distant bustle of Sigil. Nothing more of note.

"Huh." Illi moves to stand behind the orc's footprints, thinking. She'll look for the missing skull piece among the trash in a second. First... she begins her little spell.

"Show me your heart," She whispers under her breath. The drow lifts her finger, twirling it to point with her gaze as she scans the windows and rooftops nearby, trying to catch something. Maybe the murderer's still here. Maybe.

Magic: Empathy cantrip. Not expecting to get anything but thought it would be interesting to try it in this circumstance!

[Makeshift]

The orc is dead. He doesn't feel anything anymore. There lingers a feeling of enjoyment and dark mirth. From the murderer or from the victim, impossible to say.

Considering most dead things don't have emotions, that's not surprising. She stops when she gets the feeling of enjoyment. Takes note. Then goes to try and get the body to someone who can help.
