''Let us make things clearer and create a timeline of known events and the information gathered from it as well as those involved. Am I to understand that everything began with the burning down of a spellcaster's library? Who was there and can they explain what they have seen?''

Illi will grab a piece of chalk to start a timeline.

Mysti simply watched as each person fed information into the ... information pool, as it were, her eyes swishing hither and yon, back and forth like the tail of an angry cat. It was all happening too fast for someone who literally just arrived. All she had been doing were standard foot patrols and a few bounties while it would seem all of these people were onto some grandiose conspiracy.

"I haven't the slightest clue who killed Rhauntides or burned the library since those involved in the investigation decided it wasn't worth their time -- or some such -- and abandoned it. All I know is that there was a portal to the elemental plane of fire located in the library -- and fresh apples seemed to be the key that activated it. That's when - you know - everyone gave up. Or ... who knows what they did."

She didn't bother to disguise the irritation in her voice at the investigation going so bloody poorly. That irritation manifested as the shadows in the room darkening noticeably for a few seconds, returning to normal forthwith. It was embarrassing to her even though it wasn't her fault -- and she had been the last to leave. It was, in any event, a personal stain on her record.

"Not a bloody thing has gone right ... not one thing." These last words were said so quietly that only those closest to her would have heard her say them.

"Plane o'Fire tracks with th'City o'Brass. Sounds like th'Sultan didn't much care for gettin' bobbed."

[Mysti]

"That sounds about right," Mysti agreed, nodding to Ikkit.

"We had just entered the City of Brass through the portal in the library -- we started making plans to start looking around there but honestly I wasn't sure what we could find there. It was an entire plane, after all."

She softly bit her lower lip thoughtfully for a moment. "There's nothing that says that we couldn't continue the investigation. We had just arrived in the City of Brass when everyone up sticks and went home. I still have the keys, the gate should still be there. I also don't think the Harmonium is going to care that we're trying to finish an investigation -- especially by one of their own."

[Thaddeus]

Thaddeus raises his hand, "I for one would like to visit the City of Brass."

[Whisper]

"I haven't been involved in any of this, unless the slaadi also have something to do with it." Whisper shrugged. "But, I'm willing to help."

[Illiam'iira]

"Well," Illi points to 'the Balance' on the board, "It might. I can only assume this means the balance of chaos and order, and maybe good and evil."

"If this tome is something powerful enough that someone without that kind of magic power can cast one of the greatest druidic spells... it could have philosophies or rituals for transcending normal cosmic laws, which would naturally upset cosmic forces."

"So, we are gonna have some investigation in the City of Brass." Illi writes that on the board.

"OH! Can anyone cast see invisibility?" She pipes up. "Or does anyone have one of those, uh -- those -- lanterns -- lanterns of revealing, I think?"

''It may also be what you call a red herring. The only thing to be gained would be the identity of the thieves we do not yet know about or to get the the help of the Sultan to recover it.''

They paused to consider
