The smiling modron will follow the hooded figure back outside with scurried steps, staying close enough to surprise them with a hit from behind if they made good on all those threats.

Action to ready attack, trigger being them actually following through with a hostile action (attack or hostile spell).

And do hit them with an AoO if they rush for the body!

[Thaddeus]

Hearing the Ikkit's words, Thad immediately sees the wisdom and agrees with the course of action. He heads back over to swoop up the deader before this blood can make a getaway with his prey.

He's a bit confused to see the mysterious figure down in the alleyway when he crosses over the roof line, but stays on target, flying next to the body.

He calls out to one of the others who'd decided to intercede tonight, "Hey drow, load'em up." He points to the body.

Fyne moves to protect the body and asks, "Illusion or summon?" Looking at the hooded figure. He doesn't take any immediate action other than providing cover for the corpse. It seems like the best solution is to spend their efforts preventing the hooded figure from getting the corpse, so that's what he does. He mentally calls Lirrax to his shoulder.

The body is loaded up on the broom and secured, with Thaddeus ready to leave at a moment's notice.

However, out of nowhere, his voice comes thru to the both of you.

"Illusion, actually."

Though you are still unable to see the precise location. The body in front of you disappears and with it, a bright blue glow of arcane energy being left in its stead and leaving the two of you in silence.

Although he and the body are gone, his figure still remains inside of the alleyway.
