But her studies of death rarely reached breadth of Abyssal depth.
Her morning's insistence was to take on the instance of the Layer of Indifference.
Into the subject she delved within books off the shelf which that purpose would serve.
She made it, you see, but has she entertained thee by rhyming in Three?

There's a very gentle knock on the door as a VERY harrowed-looking drow peers inside.

...she may not have been ready for the Mortuary.

"Are you visiting the Mortuary or me, Illia'miira?" Akh looked up from a tome she was perusing. "In either case, please come in."

[Illiam'iira]

"You," She answers softly, as if afraid to disturb the dead with her usual chirpy voice. Illia moves to join the dustwoman. "I hope I'm not disturbing you, miss Akh?"

Cyprian walks in visibly shaken.

"Akh dear, are you still in here? I just delivered some correspondence to your factol and... my gods! I'd never actually met him before but, whew, the power coming from him is-" He sees Illiam. "Oh! Miss Illiam! It's good to see you, what... what are you doing here?"

"Quite the commotion in a place that sees little organic movement most of the time, apart from decomposers of course." Akh rose with a small smile, setting the pitch of the conversation at hushed registers. "Please come in you both on condition you respect the rest of those in nearby vaults and keep your voices low regardless of the news you want to break." She was looking at Cyprian mostly saying this. "You got me researching the Abyssal layer we might explore soon enough."

Cyprian gets a little wave and smile from Illi!

"Of course," Illi answers with a nod. One must respect the rules of the house, especially given its function: the dead are resting, and deserve that kindness.

He covered his mouth and looked around. "Right, she's gotten on me before about that. Sorry Akh."

He moves closer in and tries not to touch anything or speak with his usual bravado.

"So what's new? Are we any closer to diving into the abyss?"

[Akh Uur Hoon]

"We know something. The Layer of Indifference is a sterile, frigid rock under red clouds. It had once been ruled by an archdemon known as the Shadowmaster, but he deserted it, moving onto more rewarding conquests. Now there is some nalfeshnee presiding over it. The only landmark is called Taelac Mirrimbar, the Fortress of Indifference. It is a gruesome place, with the dead and the undead woven into the very metallic structure of the tower. I suppose this is where we would be going. As for the portal key, there is no mention of it in the records here. I can have greater luck in the Hall of Records later this morning."

Illiam'iira listens intently, nodding along.

"Okay. Uhm. Do let me know if there's anything I should get to help. We are mostly looking for the rest of the bones, yes?" Illi fiddles with a lock of her hair.
